I've tried to do some research, but curious to get opinions here about how long after recovering from Covid should you wait to get vaccinated?

Also, I've heard that the reactions to the vaccine are more pronounced if you have had Covid as well. Anyone have that experience, or heard one way or the other?

Office reopens later in the summer. Vaccine is not (yet) required, but as part of my job entails traveling, I'm anticipating it will be. I'm planning to hold out as long as I can since I've got the natural immunity for now.

Was Covid positive with symptoms 4 days after first dose. Cleared the virus a week later and took the second dose 3 weeks later as planned. No reaction, no issues after second dose.

Treat a natural COVID infection as the first vaccine, if you will. Wait at least 1 month to get your "second dose" if you had a mild infection. If you had a bad infection then maybe wait 6-8 weeks. I haven't seen a specific study stating this, but based off the way the immune system works, you want the initial immune response to start to fade before you introduce a second exposure - it doesn't some fancy science stuff to enhance immune system memory and antibody specificity to the virus. If you get it too soon, then you'll already have high levels of floating antibodies and the body will knock it out before it has a chance to get to special immune cells in your body that kind of act as a police academy in the body, training the next generation of immune cells.

Second exposure is typically worse than the first, but it varies by person.

I had a very mild case of Covid. Basically had a runny/stuffy nose for a few days and lost taste/smell for a few weeks.

I had shot #1 about 3 months after testing positive. I had a sore arm for a couple of days.

After shot #2, I had a sore arm for a few hours.

Neither the virus or the vaccine caused me to have any fatigue, aches and pains, fever, or lethargy.
