Hey guys! Any help or advice much appreciated. I had confirmed COVID (rapid and PCR) in February with very few symptoms. I then got fully vaccinated in April- Pfizer. Now this week out of nowhere I start developing a sore throat, productive cough and now something that resembles Pink eye in one eye. No fever. The cough and sore throat have gone of for about 4 days now. What are my chances at having COVID again? Do I do another rapid test? My main concern is being around my 83 year old grandmother- also vaccinated. I have an apt at an urgent care today at 615 and also a back-up one tomorrow at Texas Med Clinic. Any ideas? Thanks TexAgs!

No idea but I have a cough / sore throat for a few days too.

I am really starting to wonder if people are just starting to get "normal sick" again with increased interaction.

Seems to me since you have some symptoms, covid or not, you would likely want to stay away from your grandmother.

Since your symptoms are relatively mild sounding, what would a positive COVID test do for you?

Personally...me...having similar symptoms...I am just living my life as I would with a common cold (limited interaction with family and others but not full isolation; cough drops; kleenex).

I would not do the rapid test.

My husband has similar symptoms as you- productive cough, weird pink eye-ish gook, and stuffy head, congestion. No fever or sore throat. He had a very mild case of covid in December and was fully vaccinated by May. He is not getting tested as it seems like a summer cold/allergies.

I have these symptoms right now. They are going around. I'm vaccinated and I've also had covid. I'm not in any way worried that I have it right now.

Thanks for the advice guys. Of course the minute clinic at CVS wouldn't see me without a Covid test due to my symptoms. My PCP would but he's on vacation starting Monday so I'm just going to tough it out. I just get those "looks" from people if you start coughing when you're out in public. Like I'm a dang Leper or something (probably spelled that wrong).

If you're confirmed to have Covid after already having it and getting vaccinated you should call the news because some doctors will want to research you.

John Rahm just tested positive after having it and being fully vaccinated. He has to miss the Olympics.

If your concern is your gramma your priorities are in the right place. What does it hurt to either stay away from her (or family who are around her) or get a test to rule out Covid?

There are experienced respectable medical professionals out there who believe what you are experiencing may be directly related to having had the vaccination.

Problem is you have likely never heard of them because big media either stifles them or tries to discredit them.

You will have to do your own research and make your own decision but the information is out there.

Correct. Only the PCR test is reliable.

Testing positive a second time does not mean being infected a second time.

Do we know if he actually started testing negative before testing positive again?

It doesn't hurt to get tested. It's probably a run of the mill upper respiratory thing, but COVID breakthroughs are possible. Even the mRNA vaccines are not 100% effective. If it's COVID, your symptoms are going to remain mild (if any), but I agree to take precautions for others.

My wife and I are both down and out. Her clinics NP and med scheduler tested positive, both vaxxed. I came down with severe sinus (sinus infection like), dizziness, coughing (like a bronchitis cough) and chills, temp 99.8 consistent and SAO2 98%. So i got sent home from work. Took the antigen this afternoon, and strated back up on Dr. Revs cocktail, so will see. May go take the PCR test tomorrow with Florida Dept of Health.

My symptoms are much worse than my wife's. Both vaxxed her Pfizer and I got Moderna.

I got vaccinated back in January. Last week I spiked a fever of 101.4 for one night and had a "tickle" in my throat for 2 days. I did not get tested. Maybe 'rona, maybe not. I wasn't going to bother with a test for symptoms that only lasted 2 days.
