Home games are still at Gregory. But it just seats 4k and I guess for Stanford they felt confident it wouldn't be hard to get 11k in the fun new basketball/concert complex.

Nothing close to as ambitious as Nebraska selling out Memorial with 92k for a volleyball match, but then again that's pretty much what Nebraska has going for it in the way of sports these decades. Nebraska's transformation from a football factory to a volleyball powerhouse is pretty fun, as is their fans' embrace of it.

I think they did it to beat our record from last year!

Yah I think the goal was to break record before Nebraska did it so they just gave up. I agree it seems like no one is getting close to Nebraska hype in state of Texas just cause thats the only program Nebraska is good. I wonder how much attraction Texas would be if we hosted first serve in the state. would it also be a packed arena ?

Unranked Tenn. takes down No. 21 G. Tech. 3-1.

Unranked South Carolina (4-4) takes down No. 25 North Carolina (5-1) in five sets.

No. 15 TCU (7-1) continues its torrid play beating No. 23 and soon to be unranked Mizzou (5-3).

Big match today between No. 10 SMU and No. 3 UK. Texas plays No. 9 Arizona State tomorrow.

UK takes down No. 10 SMU (and UH the day after) , Texas beats No. 9 ASU, and UF squeaks by No. 20 Baylor. Great weekend for the SEC against ranked foes.

No. 6 UK took down No. 3 Louisville last night in 5 sets.
The SEC has 6 ranked teams and is holding its own against the ACC, Big 10, and Big 12.

All four power conferences have 6 teams ranked.
No. 18 Creighton (5-5 with a win over KU) is the plus one.

They're now 11-0. They played a bunch of tiny schools and racked up wins and now added a major win.

Mizzou was up 16-11 and 19-17 before falling to 27-25 in the 3rd set. This was the most beatable tu has looked since Stanford!

We were at this Mizzou-Texas match. While Texas sometimes looks other-worldly because of their insane height at five positions, they are also absolutely beatable. They had to scrap and claw for every set, in their home gym, against a good-but-not-great Mizzou

I'm encouragedour Aggies can beat anyone if we stay focused and block well. But we are probably a year or two and a bit more across-the-roster height away from being elite.

I caught the last two sets and you're right. They look imposing across the net. Their height is a huge benefit. I think a team with an aggressive block and tough serving can beat them. I'm glad we have the game at home! Thanks for the insight!

Louisville took Texas to 5 (losing 16-14 in the 5th set) after Stanford. Texas looked pretty beatable then.

They roster turnover they had this season its impressive they have won this much. Missouri served them very tough and thats what caused the issues. They also didnt have their starting setter the game before because of injury. Missouri hitters hit better against them than they did against us so the sweep is surprising but they dont give up even when down.
