I haven't watched much Aggie volleyball until recently, and only a few stretches in this tournament. But watching the last half of this first set, two things struck me:
1. It appears we're a little quicker to the ball than they are. I don't know if that's just a first set issue or not or whether it will continue.
2. We block, at least so far, WAY better. Again, hopefully this will continue.
That one girl they have -- didn't get her number -- who had that monster kill a few points ago is really the only one, (and I hate to say this, but again...) so far, that scares me. They're certainly a great team but if we keep this up, we're in good shape since they have to win 3 of 4.

Has college rules always allowed a serve to hit the net? I recall HS rules years ago didn't.

Regardless of what sports you do or don't follow, this squad is an object lesson for all you desire of a team: Improving all year long so that at the end of the line, you're playing your very best.
Even knowing that this team just took out Nebraska and Pitt back-to-back, you can tell Kentucky is seeing a team across the net that it never saw this season. Really hard to scout and beat a team that has improved so much from the last time you saw them.
