Different sport with different dynamics. I'm sure NIL comes into play, but coaching/resources/personnel situation can probably overcome some NIL deficiencies. We're talking way less money for all but the very top players and coming from generally wealthier backgrounds than football/basketball.

Stowers is the one you throw money at to keep around, but I also think she's here for personal/health reasons. We certainly need to keep her comfortable with NIL, but I don't think she's only going to go to the highest bidder.

Jamie was an olympic volleyball coach. His job was to find talent and develop it over 4 years to compete in the olympics. He showed the college volleyball world what that meant when he brought us a national championship in 3 years. He's a player's coach. I don't see any of our younger players entering the portal. Why would they?

Lexi is my kiddo's favorite player on the team. We talked to her this season and she said she wanted to play for her senior season. She red shirted so the power house could win the championship while she grew her skills under Jamie. I hope a Texas team picks her up because I'd love to go watch her play next year.
