Bio and key information on Jason Meyer:

  • Won 20 games as a left­handed pitcher at Texas A&M from 2004-20­07 … under both Mark Johnson and Rob Childress.
  • Two ­time All­-Big 12 performer.
  • Led the Aggies to the Big 12 Tournament title in 2007 and to the NCAA Super Regional in '04 and '07.
  • Left A&M to go to grad school at Connecticut.
  • Joined the Military and is now serving our country as a U.S. Navy JAG.


  • Played for both Coach Johnson and Coach Childress
  • Won a Big 12 Tournament title and went to a couple of super regionals.
  • Burst on the scene in 2004: Went 8­2 with a 2.89 ERA and 3 saves which helped lead the Ags to the Super Regional in Baton Rouge.
  • Had to go through Rice Regional to get to LSU (which ended up being an epic weekend in Aggie Baseball history) ­
    • Beat Lamar on Friday … only threw four innings … pitched 7.1 innings and struck out 9 in "if ­necessary" game vs. Rice on Sunday.
