Aggies get commitment from five-star Arizona WR
The chase for one of the country's top receiving prospects grew tight at the last hour, but ultimately it ended as most thought it would.
Tight competition from Arizona State, UCLA, USC and Auburn, along with the Aggies' opening at receivers coach left by David Beaty's departure to Kansas, gave Saguaro (Ariz.) WR Christian Kirk — long thought to be an Aggie lean — pause, but on Wednesday he went ahead in announcing his intent to sign with A&M. Kirk's addition gives the Aggies' 2015 class one of its highest-rated and most explosive offensive pieces.
Known to be close friends with both starting A&M quarterback Kyle Allen and 2015 Aggie commit Kyler Murray, Kirk will enroll in Aggieland for the spring semester as a mid-term graduate. He follows Allen as the state of Arizona's second consecutive No. 1 player to commit to Texas A&M.
