On what was working for him Friday night against LSU...
It was just my fastball command. I was able to locate on both sides and I also had that curve ball working in there and that's pretty much it.
On shutting out LSU for the first time since 1977...
I mean it means everything. That was definitely a big momentum swing for us. We have been struggling early on and I think we really needed that.
On the teams never give up attitude...
We are such a young team and we have learned so much throughout this year. We have had some highs and some lows and I think that's really contributed to that. Losing against Vanderbilt and Kentucky the way we did then going to LSU and winning that series just shows that we have a great attitude out there.
On what the team is working on in preparation for Auburn...
Practicing and playing at a high intensity. They are going to be a great team, I think they are first in the league right now and just going out there and having fun. At the end of the day if you aren't having fun you aren't going to play good.
On getting to hit in the lineup...
That's the best time of my life. I wouldn't say I hit any home runs but it was definitely fun.
On him answering questions about squirrels...
If they ask I'll answer it but it's whatever.
On how the "squirrel" thing started...
I will give all the credit to Thomas. He's a big contributor in that. He likes to mention it every time I do an interview or something.
On the interview during the LSU game...
Yeah, it definitely went on for a while, and it didn't help that that was one of our longer innings.
