The No. 16 Texas A&M Aggies overcame a tough first half and easily handled Georgia, 64-47 on the road, Thursday evening. At halftime, the Aggies were on the verge of collapse with a 31% shooting average and Georgia in the lead, 24-23. The Aggies broke out of their slump and in the second half responded by scoring 29 points off of 20 Georgia turnovers.

The Aggies started off slow, which was similar to their last matchup against Georgia at home, where they didn’t get things rolling till the second quarter. The Bulldogs came out with an aggressive defense, playing at a high-intensity level, forcing turnovers and denying shots.

N’dea jones continues an incredible season, scoring 13 against Georgia.

In the second half, the Aggies turned things around and capitalized on the Bulldogs’ energy declining on defense. N’dea Jones finished the game in her hometown with her 15th double-double of the season and 25th of her career. Her double-double performance tonight placed her in second for most double-double’s in Texas A&M history.

“This is a really important game for me because I get to see all of my friends and family and people I don’t see, because I’m a basketball player, so I just really wanted to go out there and do well for them.”

N’dea Jones scored 13 points and led the team in rebounds (20), almost beating her record of 21. Jones had 8 offensive rebounds, more than the Bulldogs had themselves.

“One of our goals was to outrebound them, last time they outrebounded us,” said N’dea Jones. “Just during practice and the pregame talk, we were just told we really have to rebound because we don’t want to get outrebounded again”

The Aggies complemented N’dea’s points with some of their own. Ciera Johnson dominated in the paint and led the Aggies with 16 points. Kayla Wells finished the game with 15 points and Chennedy Carter had 12.

The Aggies will now gear up to face Auburn at home and celebrate Senior Day, Sunday, February 23 at 3:00 p.m.

He may of been thinking of how the Dawgs came back late at Reed
to only lose by one.

This is not a team you give an opening to.....put your foot on their throat and keep it there
