Football (4-2, 1-2 in SEC)
Following last week’s upset victory over Alabama, Texas A&M travels to Columbia, Missouri, to take on the Missouri Tigers at Faurot Field on Saturday.
- Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. CT and will be televised on the SEC Network.
- As of Friday morning, the Aggies are 8.5-point favorites.
Thanks to the Aggies’ big win, the Maroon & White jumped back into the polls this week, coming in at No. 21 in the AP Poll and No. 18 in the Coaches Poll.

Quarterback Zach Calzada earned a number of accolades this week for his performance vs. Alabama, including being named the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week.
- The Sugar Hill, Georgia, native was also named the Maxwell Award’s Player of the Week as well as the Davey O’Brien Award's National QB of the Week.
- Calzada was also named the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Player of the Week, while wide receiver Ainias Smith earned honorable mention.
Calzada wasn't the only Aggie winning SEC Player of the Week as both Tyree Johnson and Devon Achane took home awards for their showing vs. Alabama.
- Johnson was named the league's Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week after recording four tackles and two sacks vs. the Tide.
- Achane was named the league’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Head coach Jimbo Fisher was named the Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week for the Aggies’ win over previously-top-ranked Alabama.
On Wednesday, it was announced that All-American offensive lineman Kenyon Green has been named a semifinalist for the Lombardi Award.
- Awarded annually by the Rotary Lombardi Award and the Rotary Club of Houston, the Lombardi Award honors the best college football player who lines up on the line of scrimmage or within five yards of the line of scrimmage.
- Dat Nguyen in 1998 is the only Aggie to ever win the Lombardi Award.
Kickoff time for next week's home game vs. South Carolina has been announced.
- The Aggies and Gamecocks will face each other at 6:30 p.m. CT on the SEC Network on October 23.
Soccer (6-7-1, 2-4 in SEC)
After a loss last Sunday, Texas A&M faces Alabama on Friday night at Ellis Field in the Aggies’ penultimate home match of the season.
- Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. CT on the SEC Network+.
- G Guerrieri and the Aggies will celebrate Senior Night prior to the start of the match. Kendall Bates, Daria Britton, Jordan Burbank, Macie Kolb and Karlina Sample will be honored during the pre-match ceremony.
Volleyball (11-6, 4-3)
After falling down 2-0 on Wednesday night, the Aggies rallied to force a fifth set vs. Ole Miss but ultimately lost in the decisive frame.
- 18-25, 27-29, 25-16, 26-24, 13-15
- Ciera Hecht led the Aggies with 15 kills and 22 digs as she recorder her second-consecutive double-double.
- Camille Conner had 44 assists in the five-set thriller.
Despite the loss to the Rebels, Camille Conner entered the Texas A&M record books when she recorded her 4,548th career assist.
- Allie Sawatzky (2010-13) previously held the career record for assists.
The Aggies travel to Gainesville on Saturday to face the No. 23 Florida Gators.
- First serve is set for 4:00 p.m. CT on the SEC Network+.
Men's Swimming & Diving
For his performance in the SMU Classic, Tyler Hulet was named the SEC's Men's Freshman of the Week.
- Hulet recorded six top-five finishes in the SMU Classic, including a third-place finish in the 100m back with a time of 47.85.
On Friday, No. 16 Texas A&M will host No. 1 Texas in a dual-style meet at the Rec Center Natatorium.
- Diving begins at 2:30 p.m. CT. Swimming begins at 5:00 p.m. CT.
- Friday will be the full-team season debut as only a limited number of Aggies swam in last week’s SMU Classic.
- The meet between the Aggies and Longhorns will be streamed on the SEC Network+.
Women's Swimming & Diving
Senior Aimee Wilson was named the SEC's Women's Diver of the Week for her showing in the Aggies' season-opener with Houston.
- Wilson earned two first-place finishes vs. Houston, including the 1-meter (303.15) and 3-meter (342.75).
- This is the seventh time Wilson has been named SEC Diver of the Week.
On Friday, No. 21 Texas A&M will host no. 5 Texas in a dual-style meet at the Rec Center Natatorium.
- Diving begins at 2:30 p.m. CT. Swimming begins at 5:00 p.m. CT. The vent will be streamed on the SEC Netwrok+.
Men’s Golf
Playing in the SEC Match Play Championships at the Shoal Creek Club in Shoal Creek, Alabama, the Aggies wrapped up play on Tuesday, taking down South Carolina, 3-0.
- Texas A&M fell to LSU in the quarterfinals, 3.5-1.5.
- Texas A&M also fell to Florida, 3-1, before wrapping up the weekend with a dominant victory over South Carolina on Day 3.
Senior Sam Bennett is now No. 1 in the PGA Tour University Global Ranking.
- The rankings are designed to “identify the best collegiate golfers based on winning, competitiveness and long-season performance.”
Texas A&M will play next week in the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate in Alpharetta, Georgia.
- The tournament is being hosted by Georgia Tech.
Women's Golf
Gerrod Chadwell and the Aggies are back in action this weekend, playing in the Jim West Invitational in San Marcos.
- Playing at Kissing Tree Golf Club, the tournament is being hosted by Texas State.
- The tournament begins Sunday, October 17, and concludes Monday, October, 18.
- Abbrat defeated UIW’s Warren Fulgenzi in three sets - 6-1, 4-6, 6-4
- Sriniketh defeated UIW’s Joan Sasso - 7-6(3), 2-6, 6-4
The main draw of the ITA Texas Regional begins on Friday.
Women’s Tennis
Four Aggies will be partaking in the ITA Texas Regional this weekend at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center on the campus of TCU in Fort Worth.
- Tatiana Makarova, Jayci Goldsmith, Mary Stoiana and Gianna Pielet will be representing the Maroon & White.
- The tournament begins on Friday, October 15, and will conclude on Monday, October 18.
Equestrian (1-0, 0-0 in SEC)
On Friday, No. 5 Texas A&M travels to Waco to face No. 8 Baylor at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
- The meet begins at 12:00 p.m. CT.
- The NECA has selected the showdown as its "Meet of the Week.”
Cross Country
The Aggies host the Arturo Barrios Invitational at the Watts Cross Country Course in Bryan-College Station on Saturday morning.
- The men's 8k begins at 9:00 a.m. CT, while the men’s 6k begins at 9:45 a.m. CT.
- Also competing in the Arturo Barrios Invitational are Baylor, Sam Houston State, LSU, Rice, North Texas, SMU, TCU, Texas State, Texas Tech, UT-Arlington, UTEP and UTSA among others.
Baseball
Jim Schlossnagle stayed hot on the recruiting trail this week, receiving two verbal commitments.
