Texas A&M offensive lineman Kenyon Green will enter 2022 NFL Draft
All-American junior guard Kenyon Green, who played four positions along the offensive line in 2021, announced on Tuesday that he will forgo his senior season and enter the 2022 NFL draft.
Green was a five-star recruit out of Atascocita High School. He was the top-rated prospect in Texas A&M’s outstanding 2019 recruiting class that was ranked No. 4 in the country. He was the No. 15-rated overall recruit.
Even then, Green seemingly was underrated.
The soft-spoken, but hard-blocking 6-4, 325-pounder started every game since arriving at A&M.
He started all 13 games at right guard as a freshman. He was named to the SEC All-Freshman team.
As a sophomore, Green shifted to left guard and emerged as the best lineman on a stellar line that was among the best in the country. Green earned consensus All-American honors and All-SEC recognition. He was also a semifinalist for the Outland Trophy.
A preseason All-American, Green opened this season at right tackle, but moved along the line depending on need. He eventually settled back in at left guard. Green was named the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week three times.
He’s projected as a first-round draft choice.
