On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M Athletics as baseball's losing streak continues, softball hosts Mizzou, women's golf earns a top seed in the San Antonio Regional and much more.


Football
Devon Achane
, Antonio Johnson and Jaylon Jones await their fate as the 2023 NFL Draft continues as Rounds 2 and 3 begin on Friday at 6 p.m. Regardless of where they are selected, this marks the 48th time in the last 49 drafts that Texas A&M will have at least one player selected.

Baseball (25-17, 9-10 in SEC)
The Aggies were thumped in the Tuesday night game, 9-2, against Sam Houston, before dropping Game 1 of its weekend series, 7-5, against No. 7 Arkansas in Fayetteville. A&M will have a chance to rebound in the series on Friday and Saturday.

Softball (30-17, 10-11 in SEC)
No. 23 Texas A&M pitched a combined no-hitter on Tuesday afternoon against Prairie View A&M, picking up a 12-0 victory in run-rule fashion.

  • Allie Enright finished 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a run scored. 
  • Emily Leavitt: 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K
  • Emiley Kennedy (9-4): W, 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K

A&M will begin a weekend series on Friday at Davis Diamond as they play host to MIssouri.

  • Saturday: 5 p.m. CT, SEC Network+
  • Sunday: 5 p.m. CT, SEC Network 

Women’s Golf
No. 6 Texas A&M were selected on Wednesday to host the San Antonio Regional in the NCAA Championships. The regional will be played at TPC San Antonio from May 8-10.

Men’s Golf
After falling in the SEC Tournament, the Aggies will learn their fate when the NCAA Selection Show airs on the Golf Channel, Wednesday 3 at Noon.

Track & Field 
The Maroon & White began competition at the Penn Relays on Thursday. Julia Abell set a new school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase on Day 1, running a 10:13.74. Day 2 and 3 are set to begin on Friday and Saturday and can be viewed on HERE.

Men’s Tennis (18-11, 7-5 in SEC) 
A pair of Aggies, Raphael Perot and Noah Schachter, garnered first team All-SEC postseason awards on Thursday.

Women’s Tennis (27-2, 13-0 in SEC)
No. 2 Texas A&M captured eight separate conference postseason awards on Thursday. Head coach Mark Weaver was named co-SEC coach of the year while Mary Stoiana was named SEC player of the year.
