On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M Athletics as baseball hosts No. 4 Florida, softball finishes its regular season play with a win, and women's tennis begins its NCAA Tournament run.


Baseball (26-19, 9-12 in SEC)
The Aggies snapped its five-game losing streak in the midweek, taking down Tarleton, 6-5, in comeback fashion.

  • Hunter Haas launched a go-ahead three-run home run in the eighth inning. 
  • Jordan Thompson finished 2-for-2 with two walks and two RBI.
  • Justin Lamkin: 5 IP, 1 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 9 K

A&M is back in action this weekend as they play host to No. 4 Florida. 

  • Friday: 6 p.m. CT - SEC Network+
  • Saturday: 5 p.m. CT - SEC Network 
  • Sunday: 1 p.m. CT - SEC Network+

Softball (33-18, 12-12 in SEC)
No. 23 Texas A&M closed out the regular season by picking up a 9-3 victory on Wednesday against Houston at the Cougar Softball Stadium. 

  • Koko Wooley hit a grand slam in the fourth inning. 
  • Allie Enright launched a solo blast in the fifth inning. 
  • Emiley Kennedy (11-4): W, 5 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K

Women’s Basketball
Joni Taylor and the Aggies announced the signing of transfer forward Lauren Ware. Ware spent her last three seasons at Arizona after missing this past season due to an injury. 

Men’s Tennis (18-11, 7-5 in SEC)
The Maroon & White begin play in the NCAA Tournament this weekend in Fort Worth. They will play SMU in the first round Friday at 2 p.m. CT. The winner will face the victor of TCU and UT-Arlington in the second round Saturday at 4 p.m. CT.

Women’s Tennis (27-2, 13-0 in SEC) 
No. 2 Texas A&M starts its NCAA Tournament journey as they host the first and second-round matchups at Mitchell Tennis Center. The Aggies will open up play Friday at 1 p.m. CT against Quinnipiac. The winner will face Baylor or SMU in the second round on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT. 

Men’s Golf
On Wednesday, No, 14 Texas A&M was selected to begin its run in the NCAA Championships at the Salem Regional as the No. 3 seed. The regional will run from May 15-17 on The Cliffs at Keowee Falls in South Carolina.

Women’s Golf 
This week, Hailee Cooper and Jennie Park were named to the All-SEC Second Team by the league coaches. Park was also named to the All-SEC Community Service Team.
