On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things A&M as grabbed a 2024 PWO kicker, Jackson Waller, Buzz Williams' contract was extended to 2028, and volleyball announced its 2023 schedule.
Football
Texas A&M landed 2024 PWO punter Jackson Waller after impressing the Aggie coaching staff last week at camp. Waller is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound product out of Katy, Texas, continuing the Katy Taylor pipeline to College Station. Check out his highlights HERE.
Former Texas A&M tight end Jace Sternberger currently leads the USFL in receiving touchdowns with six TDs in nine games.
- Ranks 10th among all USFL players with 29 catches and sixth with 433 receiving yards
- Caught the game-sealing 46-yard touchdown in his most recent game for the Birmingham Stallions
Men’s Golf
Aggie professional golfer Sam Bennett finished tied for 43rd at the U.S. Open over the weekend. After shooting 5-under through the first two days, Bennett shot an unfortunate +9 on Saturday and +1 on Sunday.
Men’s Basketball
Buzz Williams signed an extension with the Aggies through 2028. Williams completed his fourth season in Aggieland as the Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year.
Volleyball
The Texas A&M volleyball team announced its 2023 schedule under the new leadership of head coach Jamie Morrison Saturday.
The Aggies set up a strong schedule, as they face 15 opponents who reached last season’s NCAA Tournament. Ten teams advanced to the second round and four reached the Sweet 16.
