Apex Performance of the Week: Big games from "All Dae" & "Sub Zero"

In this week's Apex Performance of the Week, we highlight Texas A&M's Shemar Turner, Conner Weigman, Jahdae Walker and Ainias Smith following the Aggies' 47-3 non-conference victory over the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks last Saturday at Kyle Field.

David Nuño’s Performance of the Week: Shemar Turner & Conner Weigman

• Can I throw in a defensive player? Shemar Turner. Last year, Fadil Diggs was the leading sack guy with 3.5. Turner already has three in three games. He has been phenomenal.
   
• The lowest-hanging fruit is Conner Weigman. We opened the show talking about how great his QBR is. He was 25-of-29 for 337 yards with 18 running yards and two total touchdowns. He is just awesome. You always want to think these amazing things about quarterbacks. Weigman had hype surrounding him coming to A&M, and in seven starts, he has hit the ground running and really lived up to it.

Olin Buchanan’s Performance of the Week: Jahdae Walker & Ainias Smith

• I'm not going to take the easiest one, but I'll take the guys who contributed to the easiest one. I'll start with Jahdae Walker. He had five catches for 110 yards for a touchdown. He's not a starter, but he came in when come guys were out and absolutely kicked butt. He's from Grand Valley State. Walker can block a punt too.
   
• How about everyone's favorite #0? Ainias Smith is just doing Ainias Smith stuff with seven catches for 127 yards. He's very Christian Kirk-like. He just goes out and does great work. He does it all. He also ran from the running back spot. He returns punts too. Colorado has a guy that can play both ways, and maybe A&M should consider doing that with Ainias Smith.
