2024 Gainesville (FL) F.W. Buchholz DE Kendall Jackson commits to Texas A&M
The Aggies have plucked a defensive lineman out of the state of Florida in their latest addition to the 2024 recruiting class as Gainesville’s Kendall Jackson has announced his intentions to play college football at Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder applied his trade at F.W. Buchholz High School and had committed to Miami on Dec. 9. He’s the 15th member of Mike Elko’s commit haul this cycle.
If you look at Jackson’s recruitment, it’s pretty easy to see he’s closely tied to new defensive line coach Sean Spencer. He originally pledged to Florida in mid-July last summer. He re-entered the recruiting market on Dec. 2 after Spencer’s departure from Florida and verballed to the Hurricanes a week later. Now, he’s headed to College Station.
On tape, Jackson shows a ton of positional versatility. He has lined up all across the defensive front and possesses a skillset that allows him to flourish in a multitude of spots. He plays with a high motor which results in tallies on the stat sheet. He flashes good play strength at the point of contact and an emerging pass-rush arsenal.
