Texas A&M adds former Bowling Green OLB Cashius Howell via transfer portal
Texas A&M has added to its defensive front seven for next season with the verbal commitment of transfer portal OLB Cashius Howell — a 6-foot-4, 235-pound native of Kansas City (MO), who had been applying his trade with Bowling Green for the last three seasons.
Overall, this is Mike Elko’s 19th portal pledge.

During his career with the Falcons, Howell logged time in 30 games. In 2021, he only saw action in four games, meaning he's eligible to take a redshirt that season and would have two years remaining in Aggieland. He tallied 56 total tackles, 13 tackles-for-loss and 11.5 sacks. He also forced and recovered a fumble.
The vast majority of Howell's production came in the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. His contributions last fall were enough for him to earn Third Team All-MAC honors.
It'll be interesting to see where he fits in Jay Bateman's defense as his skillset could feature as either an off the ball linebacker or a line of scrimmage edge rusher.
We'll have more to come shortly on the newest Aggie for our Premium subscribers.
