Three days into football practice and it’s already apparent true freshman center Mike Matthews has the physical and mental prowess to be a four-year starter.

Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin will settle for three.

After Monday evening practice, Sumlin made it clear that he anticipates Matthews, the younger brother of standout junior tackle Jake Matthews, will be wearing a maroon jersey this season rather than a red shirt.
