2026 Cibolo Steele RB Jonathan Hatton Jr. commits to Texas A&M
Mike Elko and his staff continue to hit big on key targets, and today, the Aggies hit home one with one of the nation’s and state’s finest in the 2026 recruiting class.
Cibolo (TX) Steele running back Jonathan Hatton Jr checks in at 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds, and he has a well-earned reputation for his punishing running style. Make no mistake, though, his 10.65 second time in the 100m speed also shines bright on tape as he runs away from defenders. Those abilities, along with his decisiveness, quick feet and vision, helped him rush for over 1,200 yards and 20 touchdowns as both a sophomore and junior.
Trooper Taylor has been leading the Aggies’ recruiting efforts, and Hatton joins a strong class of offensive playmakers, which includes QB Helaman Casuga, WRs Aaron Gregory and Madden Williams and TE Caleb Tafua.
Hatton becomes A&M’s eighth commitment of 2026.
A national recruit, Hatton originally committed to Oklahoma in October of 2023. In addition to the Aggies and Sooners, he seriously considered offers from the likes of Alabama, Ohio State and Tennessee, and he is currently ranked No. 7 in the TexAgs 2026 Texas Top 100.
