I must say--this was one of the best pods of season despite the painful topic. Honest talk

You fellas have much more confidence in Mike Elko then I do.
I hope you're right and I'm wrong but his performance in November is completely unacceptable.
I'm afraid he's shown his hand regarding his ability.
To lose the last three SEC games when you had complete control of your destiny is untenable.
The fact that we were out scored 59 to nothing in the first quarter in the last four SEC games is untenable
The fact that our fourth down conversion rate in critical situations is abysmal and untenable.
Not suggesting that Elko should be fired today but he's gonna have to prove he can get it done before I get back on board after this year.
54 years of this crap at A&M demands that I show caution and stop drinking the Kool-Aid.
Here's what really hurts…Texas is infinitely more SEC ready in their first year in the league than Texas A&M after a 13 year head start.
The more things change at A&M the more they remain the same. How sad. Typical A&M
But this is what A&M does. This is what A&M is.
Always has and unfortunately probably always will.

You might be right, but i agree with Looch. Team is better positioned. Came really close to sec ccg. Havent sniffed that in forever.

Disappointed in flat finish.

But all in all, most of us would take 8-4 in Y1 with all the debacle of Dimbos ladt 2 seasons.

And he's said that about every coach for the last 20 years.

I'm only thru the first 12 minutes, but so far it's somehow mostly sunshine-pumping despite getting dominated in all 4 phases of Offense/Defense. It wasn't just "run-defense." They could've passed on us all night too.

lol. Few to zero Aggies would take 8-4 going into this year. And we had a chance at SECG because other teams losing games. Not us being special.

All i am saying is looch was a realist. Didnt blow smoke up our assets. Called out the bad. But team is better in december 24 than it was in december 23.

Listened to the whole thing. I completely understand that life is not fair, but holy s*** does this fan base deserve at least a conference title.

Giving endless amounts of money only to be mid for most of the 26 years since our last conference title.

Getting clowned on for going to the "weird" school. "Texas 8&4". November collapses. "Wait until next year". BMAs who can't get over their egos because they were successful at getting oil out of the ground and think they know how to hire coaches.

I was born and raised in B/CS. Graduated from A&M. I've been watching A&M Football every season since the '96 season.

The longhorns get all the breaks while we have to, for the 26th year in a row, say "wait until next year".

You say we should demand more, but the BMAs and the horrible groupthink here tells anyone wanting better to "be a good Aggie" and go to the games and to accept mediocrity, all while the longhorns and other fanbases are successful because they don't put up with being mid.

I don't have the answers, but holy s*** am I ready for someone, ANYONE, in the athletic department to actually give a s*** about winning instead of seeing how much money they can siphon from this fan base while dangling "wait until next year".

I'm with you.

And this talk from others about sniffing a SEC title for the first time was a result of how the schedule played out. This team never played championship caliber football. But, I didn't expect them to from the get go.

What bothers me most was Elko's poor game management decisions that kept popping up throughout the season.

If Elko doesn't work out, we have no one to blame but ourselves for a hiring coach with very little track record to go on and with no significant accomplishments as a head coach.
