On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as the spring sports are underway. Men's basketball and women's basketball continue their conference slates and more.


Football 
Texas A&M's Ar'maj Reed-Adams joins football student-athletes from around the league this weekend as the SEC Football Leadership Council is set to meet at the conference offices this weekend. 

Men’s Basketball
Behind five double-digit scorers and a complete takeover on the boards, No. 13 Texas A&M secured the sweep over Oklahoma. Now, the Aggies will head on the road to South Carolina for a 6:30 p.m. tip on ESPN.

Women’s Basketball
In their first game after losing leading scorer Aicha Coulibaly for the season, the Aggies dominated by Arkansas dominated Texas A&M, 72-51. Joni Taylor & Co. are now an even .500 through 20 games with a 3-5 record in conference play.

On Sunday, No. 5 Texas comes to Reed Arena for the Lone Star Showdown.

Baseball
We are just 14 days from the beginning of the Michael Earley era. A&M will open with Elon on Friday, Feb. 14, at Blue Bell Park. 

Outfielder Jace LaViolette was tabbed as the Preseason SEC Player of the Year, while left-hander Ryan Prager garnered Preseason SEC Pitcher of the Year honors.

Softball
Trisha Ford’s third year in Aggieland will off in just six days when A&M opens its season with Utah State in the Aggie Classic.

The Aggies were picked to finish fifth in the league behind Texas, Florida, Oklahoma and Tennessee. 

Women’s Tennis
The No. 2 Texas A&M women's tennis team hosts San Diego and Sam Houston for 1 p.m. matches at the Mitchell Tennis Center on Friday and Sunday.

The Aggies have swept all three opponents this season and have won 58 straight matches at home.

Men’s Tennis
After securing the team's spot at the ITA Indoor National, the Aggies are traveling to Malibu, Cali. to take on Pepperdine on Sunday.

Track & Field
The Texas A&M Track & Field team split travel this weekend and head to the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston and the New Mexico Team Open in Albuquerque.

The Aggies hit the road after a dominant effort at home last time out at the Ted Nelson Invite, recording three new school records, ten event wins, seven all-time marks and 28 personal bests. 

Equestrian 
Texas A&M will face off with No. 7 SMU in Dallas on Saturday.

Swimming & Diving
A&M’s program travels to Austin for its final dual meet of the season against No. 1/2 Texas on Friday. The winning team on both the men's and women's side will each earn one point towards the Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown.
