One of the most decorated Aggie hoopers of all time is on the move.

Ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, the Milwaukee Bucks traded Khris Middleton to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday morning.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Middleton, 33, had been with Milwaukee since 2013 and blossomed into a three-time NBA All-Star and a 2021 NBA Champion. His other accolades include an Olympic gold medal (2020, Tokyo) and the 2024 NBA Cup Title.

During his time at Texas A&M (2009-12), Middleton appeared in 87 games with 72 starts and averaged 11.3 points per game. As a sophomore in 2010-11, he earned second-team All-Big 12 honors after averaging 14.4 points in 33 games.

Completing the terms of the deal, Middleton, AJ Johnson and a draft pick are headed to Washington in return for Kyle Kuzma, Patrick Baldwin Jr. and second-round draft compensation.

At 26-22, Milwaukee currently sits in fifth place in a crowded Eastern Conference, while Washington owns an NBA-worst 8-41 record.

The NBA’s trade deadline is Thursday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. CT, and more movement is expected across the league.
