In Thursday's penultimate regular-season contest, Texas A&M (10-17, 3-12 SEC) dropped its ninth game in a row to Vanderbilt (20-9, 7-8 SEC), 91-58.

Playing with eight available for the majority of the SEC season, the Aggies entered the meeting with only seven. Solè Williams joined Aicha Coulibaly, Vanessa Saidu and Taliyah Parker on the list of unavailable Aggies.

The shortened bench has proved to be detrimental to A&M during the skid, and it was more of the same against the Commodores.

A 33-point third quarter played a part in the trouncing of the Maroon & White, handing them their fourth 30-plus-point loss this season.

Additionally, the miscues piled on. A&M committed a season-high 30 turnovers, allowing Vanderbilt to capitalize and score 41 points off of them.

Despite the loss, Lauren Ware came up a rebound short of a double-double, with 16 points and nine boards.

Early on, A&M hung around in the first before the Commodores used a 5-0 run to pull away, 16-11.

That lead quickly grew as Vanderbilt took advantage of A&M's mistakes. The Aggies struggled heavily to take care of the ball and only shot 43 percent on their 53 shots.

Contrarily, Vanderbilt made 34 of their 72 attempts.

Without their point guard Williams, A&M lacked ball control, and the offense struggled to run through anyone. Kyndall Hunter saw an advanced role but committed seven turnovers while scoring just six points.

Khamil Pierre shined for the Commodores, scoring 16 of her 31 in the third quarter. Freshman Mikayla Blakes poured in 18 to contribute to the beatdown of the Aggies.

A&M's offense picked up in the final frame, nearly outscoring Vanderbilt 21-19. Lauren Ware led the way with a team-high 16 points.

However, the damage was already done.

With the regular-season finale looming, Joni Taylor's Aggies have one final shot to find the win column after a month-long losing streak.

A&M will close their regular season against Arkansas (9-20, 2-12), who beat the Aggies earlier in the season, on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT.
