The NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships kicked off on Wednesday in Eugene, Oregon, and the Texas A&M men had a strong showing on day one, advancing five entries to Friday's finals. Courtesy of Texas A&M Athletics, here are the highlights from Wednesday.

After playing host to the 2021 NCAA West Regional, 16 Aggies and all four relay teams qualified for the NCAA Finals in Eugene, Oregon starting on June 9. Ahead of the event, Pat Henry, Tyra Gittens, Tierra Robinson-Jones, Bryce Deadmon and Devin Dixon spoke with the media.

The SEC announced its 2021 outdoor track & field awards on Wednesday afternoon, and the Aggies were well-represented. Tyra Gittens and Athing Mu picked up SEC Awards, and A&M athletes appeared on the All-SEC teams 24 times.

After all events from Day 3 were postponed due to inclement weather, the final day of the NCAA West Regional at E.B. Cushing Stadium saw plenty of action. All in, 16 Aggies in individual events and all four relays qualified for the NCAA Finals in Eugene, Oregon starting on June 9.
