women's bowling.

I think the winning team score was something like 132.

Please tell me you don't mean 132 out of 300...

False on the score. In the championship round, Nebraska's players' scores ranged from a low of 149 to a high of 201. They had 2 players at 201 and another at 200. Nebraska also had a girl bowl a 241 and 234 in earlier rounds.

Nice try at a troll though.

As I'm sure you know, given that H next to your name, sarcasm does not express well via text.

And I'm pretty sure you were just trying to be funny, but failed miserably. I really don't get the purpose of sarcasm in that particular instance. Are you sarcastically implying that women's bowling is a joke given that they actually bowled really good scores?

200 is "good?"

I bowled that at the end of a summer session PE class.

I don't really believe you. It only took a 203 average to finish "in the money" at the PBA men's world championship, and at other tournaments, averages as low as 175 have made people a couple of hundred bucks, so unless it was a fluke, maybe you should consider taking up bowling full time. If you can raise that average up a few pins, then you could come close to making 6 figures on the tour.

A woman can also make a decent living bowling above a 200 average, as some of those college girls are doing.

But it's cool, I can't prove that you didn't bowl a 200, so please continue to live out your internet fantasy.

AG Blew,

That's awesome that you know so much about bowling. Are you also an expert in billards, ping pong, putt putt, and lawn darts?

I wish we had a putt putt team, that would be so awesome. Or what about a cornhole team? The NCAA should really consider expanding its horizons!

Joke all you want about bowling, guys. But I guarantee you that if any of you went out today, threw an eight game block with a 15 pound ball in which you had to generate at least 300 rpm's (one of the lowest rev rates on tour), release the ball no more than about a foot above the lane surface and generate an initial velocity of at least 18 mph, the first thing you would do in the morning is reach for the Advil.

It may not be the decathlon, but it sure as hell isn't putt putt either.

200 can be good depending what you are shooting on. Unlike golf, all the "hazards" in bowling are invisible to the naked eye. Before you throw your first shot you have no idea whether you playing the equivalent of Bryan Muni on a calm day or Carnoustie in a 40 mph wind. What you were shooting on in PE was most likely the equivalent of adult bumper bowling. Stand left, throw right and watch the ball come screaming back to the pocket if you hit anywhere within a 5 to 7 inch area 15 feet down the lane. What those girls were rolling was much more difficult. If they miss their target by more than one inch, throw it a little too hard or soft or miss on their release, they are in big trouble. It is a completely different game.

I honestly wasn't trying to put down bowling. I wish we fielded teams in every NCAA sponsored event because I think it would be fun to have all the different options to attend and it would allow more students to get involved in A&M athletics. I was just having fun with a previous post.

Ok, yeah, now that you bring physics into it, I feel really bad.

Did I mention that I average a 68 on the "adult bumper lanes?"

Why can't my bowling score be my golf score...

Oh, but don't tear down putt putt.

I promise that if you go out and play 144 holes on a hot August day in Houston with an angry clown waiting for you at the end of 7 and a brutal windmill mocking you at 15, you will find yourself reaching for the jack double black and a small shot of diet coke in the clubhouse.

It almost breaks a man's desire for skee ball.

Almost.
