We came into the match ranked #13, you don't get there by losing every important match. tu was ranked #14, so I guess they've choked a few times this year too, including tonight. I'm glad you got your wish (a win). Next time you might try being a little less negative.

i'm stuck in california and had to miss it. first a&m/texas match i've missed since '01 i think. everyone i've talked to said it was pretty electric. congrats to the coaches and all the boys, especially conor.

p.s. was rocket horn in attendance??

What a great win. Everybody fought hard in singles and pulled out an awesome victory. I'm glad Connor was able to finally beat t.u.; being on senior night made it even better. You could tell he was excited about beating them and I congratulate him and the rest of the team and coaches for a thrilling match.

Camden: Did not see Ron. Does not mean he wasn't here, but I would have thought I would have seen him. Great win for the Aggies. Almost a magical night for Conor. He has been everthing you would want your senior captain, playing one line to be and more. Austin continues to play at an incredibly high level. Destroyed the young man from England, who said loudly: " Why don't you go to the ATP, your wasting your time in college." Fortunately, Austin did not even blink, and continued to dominate. Best NO. 2 player I have ever seen playing for the Aggies. Wil still having problems with Kellon at three, but Griggy was great at four, and what can you say about Colin at six, defeating an excellent Texas player (Zavala) who has made a living for a long time at six, , 6-06-1. Marcus had a tussle on five, and lost two tiebreakers after the match was sealed. I think this locks up our hosting the round of 64 and 32. We are playing good tennis, and I think we are capable of a good run at the NCAA's. Time will tell, but a great win for the Aggies, and we had our number one target on campus for his official visit. He was having a great time, and he saw our place as good as it has been in a while.

and no, to my knowledge he and scoville are not related. his older brother played for clemson though.

He was definitely into the match. I think I saw him hanging out with the guys at the WOMEN'S match on Wednesday too, and I think he liked what he saw, if you know what I mean. I don't really know about these things all that well, but from my untrained eye, I think we're looking pretty good in the race for his services.

Great win, but is it too soon to bring up what the issue has been with our 3 doubles throwing away 2 straight matches after having big leads over obviously inferior opponents?

GoBlue: The context was that Austin was just blowing him off the court, making shot after shot, and the young man was obviously frustrated. Austin is playing very well right now and dominating good players at the two line.
As far as the recruiting goes, I think its anybodies guess right now. I think he had a good time, and is headed home today. I think we will have a decision between us and Virginia very shortly.
Steve actually thought 3 doubles played pretty well. Very frustrating since once again we got up early, and could not hang on. I was pretty upset after the Rice match, but obviously I have the most untrained eye in the world. Need to get Colin and Griggy back on track.

I am not sure about teammates, but I know he is good friends with Austin. I am sure he knows Wil. They all seemed to be getting along just fine, but the competition is tough...time will tell.

I just watched the weekly A&M sports show (Aggie something or rather, can't remember the name...) and they showed Conor winning his final set and the team rushed the court along with what looked to be Jarmere. If that was him, he DEFINITELY looked into the match. Good stuff.

Holden, that may have been Klegou, the french guy that isnt playing right now. I do not think that Jenkins would be allowed on the court with the team while there are still matches going on.

I wouldn't think so either bigfoot, but I'm pretty sure it was him. I actually didn't see Klegou the whole match, and I was there 30 minutes early and stayed until the bitter end. He's usually out there warming up with them and then comes and sits up in the stands for a while, but no sign from him Thursday.

Klegou was in Midland to play in a futures tournament.

How did he do?

Have not heard. Will try to check it out today.

The kid out there looked an awful lot like Jarmere not Klegou.
