We could start by having a decent outdoor track and being able to host events at home.

I'm definitely not embarrassed. I'd be embarrassed if we didn't compete. We did well, just not well enough.

Texas Tech with only 72 team points. That is really under achieving compared to how they were projected to score.

I think we lost the championship when Kamaria Brown and Ibukun Mayungbe dinot make the 400m finals and the high jumpers not getting any points. The aggies have on their roster one of the higly recruited long jumper and triple jumper. Her name is Laque Moen-Davis. I don't know why she hasn't been competing for A&M this outdoor season. She competed unattached last week in Texas State and jumped 6.29m and close to 13m in triple jump. She also is a good hurdler. Still cannot understand why she is not competing. Hope that Kamaria get fit enough to make regionals and NCAA. That will also be a huge boost for the relay team

Thanks as always, clw. I think we're peaking well. At the nationals, I believe the men will repeat and the women will hit the top three. It's a great run that is just getting started.

Aggie02, I said earlier in this thread, I think Tech got overrated in their last meet at home with some questionable times.

Ag02 is right. A first class outdoor facility is needed.

I'm not a track guy, and must admit I have only been following due to the success of the program. With that said I wish there was more coverage of the dominating efforts these teams have put together.
As far as Henry goes, one has to start thinking that this coach could be one of the best (if not THE best) NCAA coaches (any sport) of all time. What a resume- sure hope retirement is in maroon.

Pat Henry definitely belongs in the conversation for greatest college coach of all time. However, you could make a strong argument for John Wooden and Anson Dorrance (UNC women's soccer coach) as well, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some other well deserving coaches.

I think there are two coaches with more NCAA championships than Coach Henry, so those two might be in the running too (at least one of them). I think one is an Arkansas track coach and the other is some DII swimming coach.

John McDonnell, he won the men's CC/T&F triple crown like five times.

Mike Candrea (Arizona softball), Al Scates (UCLA men's volleyball) and Geno Auriemma (UConn women's basketball) are a few current coaches that come to mind.

yeah, he was one and Jim Steen from Kenyon College was the other. His men's team has won 31 consecutive DIII swimming championships! His women's team has 23 championships.

John McDonnell is arguably the greatest track coach in the history of the NCAA. To win all those national titles while only coaching the men's team is beyond impressive. As for our track team this year, they did an outstanding job. Can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds.

I'll take Pat Henry over any of them.
