Grigirov #5 ITF juniors was a very average college player. Pro results what really indicates if they are ready for college. Nothing that shows me he is any good. Have you seen him play is my point?

Virginia is shady to say the least. Hibbert only went pro because he would have had to sit out a year

I can't remember the last time the women have had more than 2 players ranked at the same. Pretty impressive!

It appears that with a new coach the women's program is positioned to pass the men's ranking wise.

The women's team actually finished higher than the men last year with far less talent. The women finished 17 and the men finished 30.

When junior comes back he will play doubles with Jackson.
Harrison should play high than Shane. I'm thinking 3 and 4 in the lineup

I see that the men are playing in a fall tournament in Waco in a couple of weeks. I know that's a tournament Baylor puts on annually. Has anyone ever gone up there to watch? Is it worth a day trip to see some tennis?

I moved to town in time to attend some of the team matches during the spring season this past season, but I've never had a chance to see a fall tournament. From what I've gathered, some are really well organized and are fun to watch and keep up with while others are a little less organized and hard to keep up with if you are in attendance. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Don't want to talk you out of going, but watching tennis in the Fall is a major letdown. Not very exciting like the Spring. No team atmosphere with very little crowd interaction.

Is Junior Ore taking the fall off from school? He's been playing the CA futures qualifying the last few weeks. He lost to Krueger this week in qualifying

I doubt he is taking the fall off, Harrison Adams was playing too. It is part of their schedule

Szabo-Withrow and Adams-Vinsant both through tho the round of 16 doubles at the ITA All American.

Both Cristinas take a tumble in the first round of the main draw at the ITA. I'd hate to be the next opponnet of CS-Q in the consolation bracket. She'll probably be like a raging bull coming out of the gates on her next match, which is fine because she's shown she can channel that aggression. Certainly not a stellar showing right out of the gates, but it's like Howard said, get some matches under their belts, get lathered up a little then things should be fun to watch, i.e. start BTHO people. If anybody is in Houston you should come watch the fish play at Rice this weekend.

Womens Tennis signs Deheza twins. The one twin being ranked as high as 9 in the world junior rankings has to be the highest profile recruit ever for the women's program. Sounds like she could play very high in the lineup that is already stacked as it is.

Saw that as well. I am pretty exciting to see this team start competing.

It's amazing how fast a program can turn around with the right coach.

I didn't see anybody but Mark Weaver and the fish at Rice. People let me tell you, these gals may be playing lines 5 and 6, but if they are that will be 2 points almost every match. Anna Mamalat played an LSU gal that transfered from Oklahoma State. Anna was obviously no where near at the top of her game but she gave that gal everything she could handle, but still came up just a hair short. As a doubles team they may end up #3 but again, tough tough for the SEC teams to see any weakness anywhere in our ladies lineup. I'm actually concerned that some egos may not come into play somewhere along the line. Nice problem to have but it may get to be real cut throat to see which girls end up on the court from match to match.

Jordan Szabo in quarter finals of singles and Withrow/Bautista, Szabo/Efferding, and Adams/Vinsant all in semi finals of Texas ITA regionals.

Great showing by the boys this weekend, especially Efferding and Szabo who won all their matches. Hopefully things are looking good.
