And realistically speaking, ignoring the steroids, I'd argue that Barry's MVPs are more impressive than Lance's Tours (and I'm a big Lance fan). First off, winning 3 MVPs in 4 years and then a decade later winning another 4 in 5 years is a major accomplishment. But more importantly, the pyramid that Bonds had to climb to the top of is much harder with more potential challengers for the title than the Tour.

It makes sense, though, doesn't it?

When Lance says he's never failed a drug test, he is saying "I never took PEDs and here is the science behind it."

When all those baseball players during the Mitchell Report were saying they didn't take PEDs, for example, it was their word against our opinion. The science was filed away and locked up.

I agree and said as much. My argument isn't which one is more impressive, I'm just saying that relative to his competition, Lance was better. The clear best 7 years in a row.

There is no way to be right or wrong on this - it comes down to opinion.

Couldn't the fact that Bonds won MVPs across 15 seasons point that he was, relative to his peers, better?

And again, I think it may be a little naive to assume that the best baseball player always wins the MVP. (I'll add that Lance didn't win the Velo d'Or 7 times

You're right, we cannot prove this either way. Its just my opinion that sometimes a clean athlete is just so talented and so good, they could be better than the best unclean athlete.

What took them so long? Lance Armstrong should play Golf with all the MLB juicers. They could share PED recipes.
