It's a natural cycle in most college tennis programs. You're down, so to get back in the higher rankings, you get some foreigners to come play. Ranking goes up, American players go away from the big 5-6 programs to your program. Happens everywhere.

Lost the dubs tonight but fought back well in the singles. Won at 2,4,6 and 5 before finishing off with win at 1 and loss at 3. Off early in the morning for weekend series. Go Ags.

Toad- You do realize that our freshman twins from Bolivia (Ines and Paula Deheza) are the daughters of an Aggie and they have a brother who also graduated from A&M. Plus, they have an older sister who is attending A&M.

Toad, people jumped Bobby’s rear for not producing the goods using primarily Texas girls. The higher ranked recruits around the country might have given us a look but kids go where they think they can do the most good. We didn’t have that over the recent past history, and that’s unfortunate. Howard came in and was given a mandate just like Steve, WIN using whatever legal and ethical practice necessary. Howard already has two girls coming in next fall one from Dallas the other from California. Those gals are going to have some BIG a** shoes to fill. Would I like it more for American kids to get a shot at a top notch education while playing for us, sure. But I also believe what makes A&M the premier school of the SEC is that we meld diversity, class with honor, and excellence both on the field (court), and the classroom. If you want to bash Christina, Naz, Sun, Tina, Stephania, Inez and Paola for not being Americans, fine, exercise your first amendment rights (which you do more than many people think you should) but these girls love this place, and believe it or not they love you – hard to believe but true. They love everything about this place. But you go on and bash them because that makes you feel good, jerk.

Toad, if you can comprehend instead of just read, Signem's post was not a rant. Every word was fact, including the last one, look it up and try to improve. Plus, if you would learn to proofread your material it might make it a little more palatable to read your jibberish as petty as it is. I’ve been following the women’s program for a good many years and if memory serves me correctly just from 2005 to this year we’ve had Canadians/Russians, Australians, Nigerians, Mexicans, South Africans, and Texans along with a smattering of other states here in the US play for us. Again, if memory serves me correctly Bobby was even ribbed a little when he brought Christi Lyles and Morgan in from Florida because, “They weren’t from Texas.” But never once have we had a team like Baylor where there wasn’t a single American on the team, nor were they 23 year old freshmen like Baylor brought in. Howard had some big guns in Maryland and fortunately those ladies elected to follow him here. Those ladies have created a pipeline of information to others back home, so I don’t and haven’t ever expected us to field a team completely of Americans, especially when you look at every other program in the country. Face it Toad, the sporting world is like the economy, its global. If you wish to play separationist you’ll be left in the dust. Signem is not being a hypocrite for accepting this mentality, he's a realist.

7-0 in the SEC.

What are the obstacles to an SEC regular season title? UGA?

Alabama has a good team that are currently ranked #8 but we get them at home next weekend.

Pretty impressive to win 7-0 without our #1 dubs out and #2 singles out!

Georgia is #5 and Auburn is top 20 and Tennessee is around there somewhere as well. Good thing for our girls is those are all home matches. If the girls just hold serve so to speak they should win the conference along with a very high seed in the NCAA tourney. What an amazing turnaround for this program. I hope that the good recruits will keep coming our way like they have been the last year or so.
