UFC 158- GSP vs. Diaz.

Who you two taking?

GSP in the title fight by decision.

He's just too smart to finish a fight.... If that makes any sense. He has a brilliant gameplan, stays out of danger, and wins a 5 round decision.

I could see Diaz gassing though, and getting caught in a submission or get TKO'd. I imagine he will get pretty frustrated in rounds 3 and 4 if he can't find his range and try too hard to chase him.

Don't really know enough about the rest of the fights to make an educated assessment. I do like Chris Comozzi and Mile Ricci, but don't know much about either of their opponents.

I have GSP winning too. I'm rooting for Diaz though. Condit v Hendricks will be a very fun fight.

Ricci should win his fight. His opponent was content with standing in his TUF finale fight and lost. I wasn't too impressed with his striking but his tattoos are... Interesting.

Great fight. Provodnikov got screwed by the ref not awarding the knockdown in the first, but I'd still score it 10-8. I'll give Timothy credit for continuing with a concussion and what looked like a broken orbital. Wish the guys still went 15 rounds.

If there were another 30 seconds when Bradley got up in the 12th, Provodnikov would've knocked him out. Bradley was still on Queer Street when he got up.

The Jessie Vargas vs Wale Omotoso fight on the undercard was a good fight too. You should watch it as well.

If the ref got the early knockdown right, it would have been a draw because 2 scorecards would have been 113-113. Even though I thought the 2nd should have been 10-8 anyway, it appears the 12th was the only 10-8 round given by anyone - at least judging by the scorecard totals of 227. So 115-112 and two 114-113's should have been a 114-112 and two 113-113's.

You had to figure there was an "oh ****" going through the ref's mind after he ruled it a slip, but then a loopy Bradley falls back down when trying to get up from the "slip".

Anyway, Provodnikov absolutely lived up to his "Siberian Rocky" nickname. Unfortunately for hm, he had to give away a couple of rounds grabbing some rest after punching himself out a bit, and that helped cost him the fight on the scorecards. That said, he would have to be superhuman to not need a rest after the effort and punishment he doled out.

If the ref would've awarded the knockdown and started counting. Bradley may have not made the count after he fell down again. A lot of refs will stop a fight if the fighter falls down a second time after getting up. It was a huge screw up by the ref that changed the outcome of the fight. Like I said though, give Bradley credit for showing huge heart.

That's true. Might have been enough to end the fight, but I thought it happened so fast that he probably would have survived it. I also wonder that if the ref had ruled it correctly right away, maybe Bradley wouldn't have been in such a hurry to get back up, similar to what he did at the end of the fight. Take part of the count to regain your wits vs hurry to get up to sell it as a slip. Probably not, but it's unfortunate we won't ever know.

I'd love to see a rematch, but I doubt we'll get it. Bradley has too much to lose and too little to gain. He also seems a little adverse to rematches since he turned down big paydays to rematch with Lamont Peterson and Manny Pacquiao.

Provodnikov did a lot to raise his stock with boxing fans, but name guys are not going to line up to fight him. He is on the record as wanting Brandon Rios next (which would be one hell of a fight), but assuming Rios beats Alvarado again he deserves a title shot with Bradley. Hopefully we get to see Provodnikov fight again. I would like to see him get the loser of Rios-Alvarado.

Great fight. No way we ever see a rematch between the two. Thought it should've been a draw, but Ruslan has definitely secured himself some future fights on HBO instead of FNF.

GGG fights March 30 at 12pm PST. It's PPV, but only cost like $25.

GGG with the one hitter quitter. Huge overhand right knocked Ishida out cold and through the ropes.

Hope he gets a big time fight soon. The top guys are running scared.
