No, the Texas ones aren't owned by the university either, I don't believe. I think they run an academy out there

I believe the tu indoor courts are a set up kind of like Traditions Country Club is for golf. It is a shame that they do not have indoors at Traditions for our tennis teams or at least have access to when needed.

$50 million will go towards enhancing the REC Center, but A&M want give a few million to build indoor courts. Pretty lame!

Gotta remember that the university makes money on the rec center.

The UT-Austin courts are out towards Lakeway, just a bit further out than Emma Long. Its set up much like Traditions is.

What is the funding mechanism being used for the rec center? I believe I've heard at least part of it will come via bonds supported by the rec sports fee?

Amazing! Last I saw looked like we were going to lose 6-1. Huge wins by all Freshman and Sophomores!!!!Saska Gavrilovska beating the #5 ranked girl is pretty impressive! Was this played indoors?

I thought this was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the girls! Joffe is a stud coach.

I had heard that this was going to be a down year as well. So much for that! The match must have been indoors cause I am sure that the weather wasn't good enough to be played outdoors. Makes it that much more impressive of a win considering our teams don't have adequate indoors to practice on.

Ladies hit a small bump in the road due to the Indoor tourney, slipped to #11 from 7. Get a couple of wins at home then go repeat history in Florida and we will be top 10 bound again.

Always happy to beat Baylor. Don't like that we have more internationals than they do though. Us Aggie fans ripped Baylor over the years for that and now they have more Americans than we do. I guess I can't have my pie and eat it too! Keep on winning and it is much easier to ignore it all!

I will never understand not liking internationals the same as I will never understand being racist. It's THE SAME THING.

Why would you not like them as much? Because they were born somewhere else? Are they not good people? Do they not play tennis well? They will stay in this country and work hard and pay taxes and be productive members of the community...just like your ancestors did.

It's amazing what a couple of wins in the SEC will do for you in the rankings. Men jump 5 places into the top 10 at #8, but the ladies slip one to #10. This weekend promises to be eventful for the ladies with Vanderbilt (#7) coming to town. If we hold serve we could possibly trade places with them. Weather forecast looks miserable though for Sunday. Stanford women must have lost this past week falling to #9 but Florida's win over us gave them a boost to #2. FIVE SEC women's teams in the top 11, and 3 Pac 12 teams in the same group. Sort of cluster at the top.

The rankings this week are hilarious compared to last week. On the women's side Howard and Mark have the girls back at #7, and Tina and Steph are again ranked in doubles at #23, last week they weren't even ranked. Tina clawed her way up one notch in the singles rankings, but the look at the team rankings all up and down the list, VERY few teams held their positions from the previous week. The men drop a place to #9, and Junior and Jackson drop from #1 to #5. Just goes to show what Cass and Kleineke used to say is pretty accurate, "Until the last month of the season, rankings don't mean a whole lot. Too much unknown compared to the competition being played that particular year." Howard has said the same thing. Bottom line just need people to come out and yell their tails off for these players.

Howard and Mark have done some very impressive work to get this young team to #7 in the nation. When you consider the fact that they lost two of the best players to ever play at Texas A&M in Sanchez and Urbina and to be right back in the top 10 is quite impressive to say the least. Thumbs up to the ladies as well!

Should be fairly routine matches for both the men and women this weekend. Hopefully we can all take care of these matches and move on to some bigger ones. Baylor women coming up again next week and I just read that they beat #10 USC at USC which is pretty tough to do I would imagine.
