Signem speaking the truth
quote:
First of all, please let's drop the gay argument. Howard is NOT gay. Second, I'm with bbb, Mark has had his wait, it's time to give him the reins let him get on the horse and ride like hell. Bobby found him, Howard groomed him, now it's his turn to show us what an Aggie can really do when given the proper controls. Ask the girls, they will tell you (everyone of them) that Mark is the most calming effect on the court and allows them to breathe. I agree if he doesn't get this call, and I were him I'd start looking to get a change of scenery. Not because he would want to but he has to do what's best for he and his family. That gal at Rice has done some impressive things, no doubt, but I still think has her beat every way and seven times on Sunday.
quote:I'm just asking an honest question. I have no idea what kind of recruiter he is. I have heard that Joffe was an outstanding recruiter. Just because Weaver worked closely with Joffe doesn't mean that Weaver is a great recruiter. How many of the current players is Weaver primarily responsible for bringing in ?
Do you not think that Mark was around Joffe to learn some of his recruiting secrets? These guys worked very closely together and were best of friends and had extreme success for four years. I guess Mark just hid in his office and picked his nose everyday.
quote:The speculation about homosexuality came about because of his strange statement about going to Austin to have a "meaningful private life". That is pretty vague, and there is no reason for not having such a life in CS. If his girl friend lives in Austin and does not want to move to CS, then that makes sense. Why not just say that?quote:It's turning into a gay things because the collective IQ of the posters on the Old Rivalries board is less than the IQ of a virus.
Not happy at all about Joffe leaving for tu, but how is this turning into a gay thing? He is dating a female in Austin I know that for fact. Hate to break everyone's bubble, but there are gays everywhere you look in College Station nowadays. You don't have to move to Austin to fulfill that anymore.
quote:Underrated.
...Weaver. If he's the best person for the job, then hire him. If there are better coaches available then hire one of them. I'm not interested in a repeat of the Kleineke era.
quote:
Mr. Hymen, your programs are sliding. Need some leadership from you.
quote:
Weaver for sure isn't an upgrade, but I can assure that no one is going to be an upgrade. If anyone thinks otherwise, they are sorely mistaken!
I suspect there are several coaches out there that can build on the program's current momentum.
We've got the facilities, current players, and money to maintain a top 5 or 10 program.
We shouldn't be satisfied with anything less.
quote:I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. Our facilities are good; would love an indoor facility and hopefully the university will see that in order to keep and maintain these types of players and coaches, we must upgrade our facilities. Pat Henry agrees (T&F)...
What facilities are you talking about? Surely not our outdoor Tennis Center. There are 10 facilities in the SEC alone that are far better than ours. Not too mention we don't have an indoor facility.
