Sorry not exactly related but does anyone know how we came to host the mountain west conference meet?

Top-notch facility and price was right would be my guess. I'd bet most, if not all, of those schools don't have the facility to be able to hold that meet.

The pool MWC normally use in San Antonio (Palo Alto College) is undergoing renovations. UH is hosting WAC for the same reason.

Great job by the freshman kid to win the 3M. If he keeps performing like that, it could pull the men up a spot or two. Need the relays to not be finishing last like they did in the 800 though.

Solid night for the ladies. Have to think we left some serious points on the table in diving though.

Big morning on the ladies side, looking like a 3 team fight for now between A&M, Georgia and Tennessee. HUGE 200IM performance with 1,2,3 seeds and 4 A finalists.

Men solid, really good IM from Austin Van Overdam and Jacob Gonzalez with a good 50 free. Sam Thornton in 3rd through 5 rounds of 1m qualifying.

Florida sophomore Caeleb Dressel with a new fastest swim ever 50 Yard Freestyle 18.39 in morning prelims, breaking Cielo's record from 2008. Interested to see what he does in finals and if his speed translates to LCM for Trials and Olympics.

Lisa Bratton winning the 200 IM highlighted the night for the Ags. Bethany Galat finished 2nd with Sydney Pickrem and Kristin Malone 5th and 6th.

Sam Thornton finished 3rd on men's 1m, Sarah Gibson was 3rd in the 500 free, and the women's 200 Free relay also made the medal stand with a 3rd place finish.

Another killer morning for the Aggie women in swimming. 50.99 100 fly for Sarah Gibson, 8 A Finalists, the same number as Georgia and Tennessee have combined. Took a hit in diving and Tenn has 2 more A finalists there, so the Vols will most likely still hold a lead after tonight. But Georgia took a goose egg in diving and the ladies have a real chance to see this thing through at the end if they can keep the momentum going.

Men had a bit of a rough morning. Good swim out of Van Overdam in the 400 IM to make the B final but only 2 other C final scorers. Still have Bonetti and Castillo in their best events to come so looking for some A final swims there.

1-2-3 in the 400 IM and 1-2 in the 100 fly...the girls are on fire!

1-2 in 100 Fly.

So excited for Sarah Gibson winning gold. She was at the physics festival 2 years ago as a freshman and she spent quite a bit of time encouraging my own daughter in her swimming. Really pleased for her to be seeing success.

Great morning for the men. Castillo and Bonetti make A Finals in the 100 Breast and 100 Back. School record 53.03 for Castillo. Jonathan Tybur with a huge 53.97 for the 100 Breast B Final. 4 C final swims (2 in 100 back, 2 in 200 Fly) as well.

Women held serve on about what they were seeded to score, but Georgia made a big move as expected. Tennessee had a solid day too. Gonna be a 3 team fight to the finish tomorrow. Sarah Gibson (200 Fly) and Jorie Caneta (100 Breast) made A Finals and they have 4 B finalists along with 2 C finalists.

400 medley relay for both genders is tonight as well.

FWIW Wally hired him back in 1999. Bultman and his teams have been making us proud for a long time. Tonight was a truly incredible accomplishment. Hats off to everyone affiliated with the team for this amazing feat!

Congrats to these ladies. What a special thing to witness. Bultman has been great for so many years and I'm happy for him for it to finally pay off in this manner. Gig 'em!

Congrats to your team, I watched much of the meet and they definitely earned it, it wasn't handed to them by under performers on other teams, they took it.

Congrats to team and coaching staff. What a great meet.
What is even more impressive to me is that almost all the girls are back next year. We only lose scorers Claire Brandt and Meredith Oliver.
Just wondering if Ashley McGregor and Franko Jonker will be back next season after the Olympics.

Now onto to NCAA. Probably need a last chance meet for those swimmers that are on the bubble. Hope the divers do much better at zonals.

I'd imagine they'll both be back. Looking forward to seeing them back and who else will join the squad. They are definitely in position for another run next year!

Jonker and McGregor should be back. They also have multiple signees whose current best times would already score in multiple events, so the future looks very bright indeed.
