Looks like Power is going to be the man to beat again this year.

That guy Cindric seems to make all the right calls. Bet that's a good gig, president of Penske Racing.

Felix's pass of Power was one of the best I've seen in a while. Not Zanardi and Herta at the corkscrew good, but pretty impressive.

Indycars about 15 secs off F1 pace at COTA. Different formulas and chassis'. I wonder how the F1 cars would fare on an oval or at IMS.

IndyCar also dialed their downforce way back before 2018. The aerokit era wouldn't be as far off.

There was a great article in USA Today this morning about how people shouldn't make comparisons between the two cars. Bourdais voiced his opinion strongly. It's fun to think about the "what ifs" but also have to realize how different the cars are and the comparisons are essentially pointless.

In most European racing series, they don't close the pits when a full course caution is thrown. Most American series do, however.

Tbh, I've always thought he was a bit of a whiner. Further, Rosenqvist was partially blocking the pit entrance, so the pits would have been closed whether the yellow was thrown or not. Yellow rules didn't cause him to fry his clutch or driveshaft.

honestly, it's absurd that they close the pit like that.

I agree with you in the case of road and street courses, but it's a good thing to do on ovals.

Sato owned that race. Too bad about Graham, he had a good car.

That was some serious domination. NTT and Indycar really need to get a race in Japan while Sato is in his prime.

I think Bourdais had the best car on a long run, but he never had the fuel to really just go for it until it was too late. I have to admit I'm absolutely loving that Bourdais and Dixon seem to keep finding each other on track almost seemingly race after race and those two battling is thrilling racing.

Seems like the Honda's have better acceleration, but the Chevy's have more top end speed. Also we're on, what, 5 or 6 engine failures for Honda in the three races so far? Not quite as bad as the early IRL Oldsmobile hand grenades, but I'd be worried about the 500 milers if I was a Honda driver.

I like Dixon's suggestion to make this race longer. Most road course races could stand that, I think.
