i think 3&4 is super encouraging when they do play. If we want to compete at the big stage we need to push the middle of our lineup down. I stand by my Pires ver Casper take, but even if they don't flip Casper at 6 with all 3 transfers will be really good.

Doubles point came down to a tiebreaker at 2 that Luke and JC won.
Also winning in doubles were Togan and Theo at 1.
Singles was a battle and it looked bleak early. We lost in straight sets at 2 and 3.
Togan won a tiebreaker in the first set and then won in straight sets.
So now tied at 2-2.
Ritesh then won at 6 in 3 sets.
Tiago battled back after losing the first set and clinched the match at 4 in 3 sets.
Still playing was Theo at 1 who lost the first set, won the 2nd set, and was leading the 3rd set 2-0.

2-1 is a good weekend for this team. Texas was always going to be wishful with our current lineup. This team is currently a top 16 team. we reach the next tier with our transfers

Look at this Wake Forest team. Good and bad with it. I do worry about all non-revenue sports (and especially tennis) with what's happening with NIL and revenue sharing. Wish we had gotten our indoor courts over the line.

college tennis is becoming a lot older. players are coming into college tennis after playing in the pro tour more and more often. In Nicole's case she couldn't help it. Every player from Israel has their mandatory Military service, so the age of all israeli players is higher than everyone else.
I believe that holds true in some European countries, as well. If you're the coach at a competitive program, do you want to bring in 17-18 year old freshmen or 22-23 year old freshmen, especially if they've been playing on a tour? Seems like an easy decision, to me. Not that I like it, but I understand why it happens.
People think I'm an idiot or something, because all I do is cut lawns for a living.
There was (or so I thought) a rule that a freshman couldn't be over like 20 or 21. I remember it coming up with the UCLA men's team a few years ago.
