How were the lane assignments picked for the 400 finals? Anybody know?
I believe the fastest 2 times get lane 6, then the next two lane 5, and so on

They are up. I figured a lot of maroon in the fast heat but not the case.
Unless they go 5 and 6 get fastest lanes between the two heats.

Scored the meet with mostly prelim times as final and using some season bests (being a little conservative for the aggies):
Arkansas-112
Texas A&M-90.5
Ole Miss-61.5
Oklahoma-59.5
Looks to be a 2 man race between us and the pigs.... This projection is friendly to the bacon because of their fast season bests in the mile and 3k. But as Coach Henry would say, there is a difference between a run and a race. so getting this totals I had Arkansas with 28 points in the 3k and 16 points in the mile while we had 7 points in the mile. Keeping them out of the 400 final was huge. We are going to need some help in the 3k from Ole piss and Bama. Note I also have us at 22 points in the 400 so we need to cover that which will be difficult, also have us at 3 points in the 800 which is another opportunity to improve. Most interesting race will be the mile though, hopefully Cooper gets some good rest because that will be our main showdown head to head against the piggies.

Summed it up perfectly!!! The 3000 would be huge and we'll see how they RACE not run a paced 3000! A lot of strong Bama guys are in that first heat! Let's hope they crumble! Hopefully our 800 guys run a huge race! Take some points and maybe even get to nationals! Mile wise let's hope Cooper gets top 2 and Santorum can run another PR! We can't let 2 piggies get on the podium in the mile!

Love it, also the "I don't care what the order is, as long as it is A&M" Big believer in that mindset for championship races. If it is between you and a teammate in the open 400, as long as you are not getting passed by another team, save your energy for the relay

Well that sucks, dang it. My daughter and I turned and looked at each other and said like what just happened. Makes sense though. Well he did great on the DMR!! And got the Gold and those points!

Man!! This evening is going to be FUN & LOUD! Guys, I have had a blast. Loved how everyone clapped in unison for all the high jumpers. Loved how everyone got on their feet and yelled for Harris coming down the stretch to win the Heptathlon.. we met a young lady who ran the 400 for Kentucky at our hotel.we told her we would cheer for her. She finished 4th in a heat of 4. But she looked up at the board and jumped up and down clapping her hands. She had run a personal best! That put a smile on this old football coach's face. I am highly competitive and love to win. But her excitement for breaking a personal record shows why sports are great!
Hope everyone who attends today has a blast!! I'm counting on you to bring our runners down the home stretch!!! It's gonna be a dog fight between us and Arkansas, but we have a chance! Let's see if the home crowd can make a difference!!!

3 Arkansas runners against 2 Aggies!!! They have the top guy in Ruben Reina, let's see if Cooper Cawthra can challenge him! Let's also hope Luca Santorum can make it a great race! Mile finals are usually a lot more tactical so time is off the board, who races smarter and who wants it more! Cawthra and Santorum are DAWGS! I know they'll both want it!

2 Aggies vs 1 Razorback! Watch the pace, a slower pace favors us because Farquharson has a strong kick!! We need to see Sam Whitmarsh get out strong, he has long legs and doesn't need to be boxed in an unfavorable position! Let's score at least 8 or more!
Men's 60 Hurdles
Arkansas has 2 guys and we have 1! Ultimately we want Jaqualon Scott to score more than them! He has the potential to win this race, he's a fighter and a true competitor! He feeds off the competition and energy!
Men's 3000
Arkansas has 4 of the top times in this race! This is where they're looking to score a lot! Can other schools help us out and disrupt their scoring, can one of our guys breakthrough and get on the board!!! We need Arkansas under 20 points here

Heat 2 of the 400 will be interesting to see if the Georgia runner can repeat last night When I spoke to my son post race he said it was impressive and that he didn't have the gas in the tank to try and chase him down.
That time came out of nowhere! I'm sure he was trying to chase a top 16 mark while our guys cruised it in! Will be tough to follow, especially if Auhmad beats him to the pole position

Thanks! It's been a roller coaster! The highs of the DMR to be followed by the huge disappointment of last night. Hopefully he'll never make such a mistake again. ALWAYS RUN HARD THROUGH THE LINE!

Well if you know him, I not sure the relation. I never got to thank him for helping out with the Bryan thunder summer track team here. May daughter has a weekly running plan for the 800 taped to her door that he wrote out for her
