Hell yeah!!! With the addition of David Foster and Micah Larry, along with our incoming freshman Richard Lee and Matthew Maldima! That's an excellent group of sprinters!!
Foster and Larry both have 60 PR's under 6.58! Lawson Jacobs also ran on Louisiana's 4x100 relay also. I'm also certain we're not done adding big pieces on the men's side!!

Georgia women signed the Canadian record holder in the discus and now signed the NCAA runner up in the shot Nina Ndubuisi from tu. Along with returning the NCAA number 1 in the javelin. We need throwers…

well we just signed a monster,l and I hope Sam Hankins returns as well! But aside from javelin we have 1 male thrower and 2 female throwers. So yeah our men should be one of the favorites to win it all once again! We'll have two solid relays, a few great sprinters in David Foster and Micah Larry, 400 wise we have Hossam Hatib, Michael Francois, and Lawson Jacob's. Field even wise we have Aleksandr Solovev coming back, two great javelin throwers, a very solid jumps squad with potential talent to score in the long jump, triple jump, and high jump. We have a couple strong mid distance guys in Luca Santorum and Reece Sharman Newell. We also return Victor Kibiego in the steeple and a healthy Blake Harris in the multis.
Can't wait to see who else we add!
FWIW, up until now we only had 12.6 men's scholarships and it, based on recent results, sure seems those had mostly been used in the sprints area -- particularly 400 meters.
Yeah I knew we were selective on the throws, I'm hoping we can land some more throwers now!
Call me spoiled, but what I really wanna see is a stud distance runner! Someone that's going to come in and help us solidly a spot in nationals for cross country!
25 scholarships are going to make a MASSIVE MASSIVE difference in our recruiting. It cannot be understated.

That's what I'm thinking, it's going to push to something similar to college football where we see a lot of the top programs consistently sit at the top! You get what you invest in!
The fortunate thing for us is we invested in facilities big-time BEFORE we got to the point where we had to pay athletes. Almost no schools can do both -- certainly not to the level of facilities we have.
I have not seen any nicer than ours in the SEC...
Arturo Barrios Invitational will be October 17th. Will have to start up a new cross country thread soon, but no schedule has been posted or roster!

you might try reaching out to coach jen. she ran at A&M and coaches High School athletes and always helping them with recruiting.
i'm also reaching out to a friend who is a former college coach and has also coached high school track. will let you know his thoughts.

The NSCA is a useful platform mainly for 2nd Tier athletes. It's a good source to get the athletes name out to the D2, D3 & small NAIA colleges. The D1 schools in Track & Field will go to sites like the States Milesplit's.com and other internet sources to research performances of athletes they are interested in that can be competitive in their conference and/or NCAA level they compete in. Most Tier 1 schools are going to meets like National Nike Championships, and other after schools state meets to start the recruiting process on Junior/Sophomores they feel will be competitive on their level. Also, it basically comes down to how well the athlete performs in any meet at any time it meets their criteria.
