Yeah, that's why my laughing/crying face. Kind of a click-baity article with "IF they were to leave, Dallas would be on the list." No way they leave

I am probably overreacting, but I don't know how you look at this situation and think Nill knocked it out of the park. That said, I'll stop posting about it so we can move on and see what Nill does with the remainder of the offseason

I think between the two tweets you and I just posted from NHL Rumor Report, no one has the foggiest idea what's going on right now. I probably need to stick to only trusting/posting updates from Stars-aligned reporters (Heika/Tiffin/Lia/DLLS/etc.).

I have to believe Nill has something up his sleave. There's no way we sign Robo and run back the same team minus Mavrik and adding a couple AHL guys.

I don't know what or how, but something has to be in the works with a trade or sign and trade to shake things up and add a winger and/or RHD.

You would think so, but I am not so sure this time. I sort of get the feeling that you just have to lick your wounds, punt on next year barring an all time worldy year from some guys, hope some of your prospects like Hemming, Schmidt, or Minnetian can play a legit role. More so the forwards.

That game 7 hatty is one of the bigger WTF sports moments I remember - similar to Calzada against Bama. Kivi scored a total of 3 goals all year this past year

I know Benn has become polarizing, but you'd be hard-pressed to find his combination of production and leadership for twice that amount. Besides, he's going to be a 3rd/4th line guy with PP minutes thrown in.

I don't mind Benn on the minimum truthfully. I am just annoyed that we are going into July 4th weekend with still no Robertson signed, having traded your best young asset, whiffed on Werenski (although I think there is a lot more to this story than has been let out), and seemingly gotten worse overall. All with no light at the end of the tunnel. Just a major bummer.

Yeah, this offseason is shaping up to be very underwhelming, at best. But this was always going to be the offseason with very little movement. Next year when Seguin is off the books, the cap goes up again, and Benn is gone, will be when we see a major re-tool.
This season, with some health luck, should still be very good, but it's clearly a stop-gap.

Until Gully puts him in as the extra attacker with the season on the line after no-showing in the playoffs again.

Hopefully "captain" Benn is actually gone after next season. Such a drain.
