A&M track champion Jenkins suspended
Hurdler Cordera Jenkins, a Texas A&M signee and the national junior outdoor champion, has tested positive for metabolites of cannabis and has accepted a three-month suspension, according to the United States Anti-Doping Agency.
Jenkins, the 2005 Class 4A state champion from Dickinson High School in the 110-meter hurdles, tested positive at the USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships on June 22. There, he won the 110-meter hurdles.
He has been stripped of that title, but because he has completed an educational anti-doping program, he will be allowed to return immediately to competition.
