Rocks,
I've been twice. In '93 & '98. They were building the lodge at the course in 98. We stayed in The Cloisters both times on an all inclusive deal so we eat dinner's in the main dining hall. Breakfast and lunch were either at the golf clubs or beach. It's all top notch. Since the course upgrades and adding the lodge they've ramped the prices way up. I paid $30/round in '93. Now it's 180-230

It's still a great place. You'll get classic southern golf on the Plantation and Retreat (my favorite) courses. Seaside has great views and is probably most peoples favorite.
The whole place is 5 star and reeks with class. George and Barbara Bush honeymooned at the Cloister and they have planted several trees around the grounds in honor of the kings and queens who's visited.
