Caleblyn you do such a good job keeping everyone up on the golf news! You're the best. Last week was just way too tense and sad for me to post. I wondered if you made it out to the University Club. It's a shame the girls couldn't take advantage of such an easy course.(But they had a great year.)
The guys should be in the morning wave tomorrow so you'll be able to keep up with them. I'm sure they'll do great!

We beat CU by 49 strokes
We beat NU by 36 strokes
We beat OU by 30 strokes
We beat KU by 44 strokes


So what does this mean? I think we should play at least 12 strokes better than these teams per round, which means we should be right at or below par today.

I was not able to make it to University Club. I had an emergency project to do at work. I really wanted to. I don't know how to react to last week except by saying that we just did not play well. In fact, it was probably our worst performance of the year. It happens, and I said it last week..."We should still be very proud of the way they played all year long. I am saddened by our loss of Coach, AK and CS, but am very excited about our future.

Next year does look good. The 2 freshman were remarkable especially second semester and the new recruits look really good. (from what I've heard) Jeanne is really happy and I'm sure BB will hire only the best new coach. That will take some effort since ut and Georgia just released their coaches. Both schools are really big names in womens golf.

I'm sure Georgia and Texas will both get good coaches, but Texas needs a new home course. I don't think they're necessarily more attractive than A&M.

Why are all the B12 teams stuck in the same region? They were split up for the Women's.

ut has a lot of history but has been really awful the past few years and I don't see much change coming next year. They have a new course but it in NO way compares to Traditions. No one has better facilities than A&M. I'm sure we'll get a great coach. (ut - much LESS attractive IMO)

Wow, I don't know what to say.

I'm just praying golf stat has screwed up the scores.

It's hopefully not as bad as it sounds. We're really only a couple of strokes off the cut. Everyone is struggling with this course. OSU and Alabama, both ranked ahead of A&M, went off at the same time and only have a few strokes on us.

We're now playing the front nine and hopefully we'll improve our position.

Seriously, we'll probably be okay still -- thanks to Burgoon leading the tournament at 2 under. Hopefully they won't end the day more than five strokes off the cut.

The rest of the team needs to pull it together tomorrow.

currently BB tied for 1st with 6 birdies on the day. Next best Aggie tied for 80th. The rest of the team has 3 total birdies

Yeah, if we can just hold it together we'll be ok. My guess is +24 would end up around 12th. We got the talent to smoke most of the teams in front of us (at least enough to get us into the top 10). We just need to do it.
