MSred8811@gmail.com is still trying to scam people. Representing Clay Campbell, class of '99.

Avoid.

Co-worker told me he transferred his tickets one at a time to make sure it was legit, he had 3 tickets, he would ask for money for 1 ticket first, then transfer 1 ticket, and do same thing over and over

Beware of any texts coming from this troll. Stealing copy from sellers then contacting buyers pretending to be seller

bonfirelegacy00@gmail.com

Then provides a different email for Venmo or Zelle transfer

Fortunately buyer contacted me by DM to see if I was texting him. I was not told him was a scam.

I am Clay Campbell class of '99, and I can assure everyone it is not me selling or attempting to scam anyone. I'm not a season ticket holder right now. I actually got scammed by someone last football season.

KIKIaggies859 just tried to sell me a ticket in a very suspicious way.

Only been a member a short while and did some posting for a couple days. I tried to verify their info and then they completely dropped all communication.

Scammer picked up on a legitimate post from a premium subscriber with an Ag Tag. I had to respond with my contact info as I am not a premium subscriber.

The scammer used a gmail text (rather than a phone #) which was aggiehunter000@gmail.com, and later asked that the payment be sent to Jackdesmond222@gmail.com I questioned the two emails ending in sequential digits, and asked their class etc. They said Jack Desmond, Class of '99

I held off and was later contacted via cell phone text from what was the actual original poster and completed the transaction. BEWARE!

Sad to see this forum as a platform for scammers, but in this scenario, they don't need an account as they never posted.

BTHO FL!

I was in the forums a bit earlier today looking for two tickets for me and my fiance and I ended up buying them from him. Was a bit skeptical at first as well because of the new-ish account and it turns out he's also using his friends account to sell the tickets on here since he doesn't have one.

But.. with that all being said, I do have my two tickets now and everything seems legit. It freaked me out a bit as well and took me forever to pull the trigger

Beware of dealing with this number: 682-353-2161

I replied to a post of somebody looking for tix. He posted his phone number and I texted him. But, was 5 minutes behind "Richard" at the number above, claiming to be "wildman95 from the forum".

Hey Richard - don't be a d*ck.

I got scammed out of $500 from txaggiex@gmail.com. This was my first time buying tickets from here and it was a scam. I have been saving for this and it was going to be a christmas gift for my boyfriend for the South Carolina game since hes never been to an SEC football game before.

Howdy Folks,

Well, it looks like I may have fallen victim to a scammer. This would have been my first game since I graduated in 2019, as well as my parents and wife's first time at kyle field ever. SOOO I am out $1200 and an amazing experience... Great.....

Username is Gigemtilllastbreath
He send me a gmail for payment: fmartinez1396@gmail.com
He has been messaging me from an imessage account: cowboyaggie0@gmail.com

I made a post looking for tickets to South Carolina last week, and he PMd me offering 4 tickets at a decent price compared to SeatGeek. I bit. He had a lot of forum activity and had sold tickets before on TexAgs (once I believe), so I thought I was dealing with someone who's been around for a while. Well, first it was payment didn't go through, so he sent me a screenshot of his tickets. Next was he went out of town and didn't have his sim card in his iPad or something, now he's just not replying at all.

As an optimist, I still have a sliver of hope that this guy will actually transfer the tickets, but it has been nearly a week and a million excuses and now he is not replying.

If by any chance he replies and actually transfers the tickets, I will be sure to clear his name here and give him the biggest apology in the world, because I will feel really bad, but things are not looking great for me and I want people to be aware in the case he tries to sell you tickets.

Possible SCAMMER.

Didn't respond to txag post but immediately sent me a text message from a Gmail account. Wanted payment via Zelle or PayPal. I confirmed that the text message wasn't from the person that posted the tickets for sale.

Not a scammer. You typed my last name incorrectly when searching for me on The Association website. I was just trying to be cautious and had no intent to find out personal details about you for any nefarious reason. Sorry you didn't trust me and I didn't trust you. Hope you will take my apology and remove your post.

I read about all the folks getting scammed. I get the need to post your story, I even did myself to try and raise awareness but doing this does not really solve the problem or help those that want to legitimately buy and sell tickets to other Ags.

WHAT IS NEEDED ARE A FEW OBSTACLES OR HURDLES THAT MAKE IT TOO DIFFICULT FOR THESE BAD ACTORS. These guys will just keep creating new email addresses or getting new internet phone numbers so trying to track and keep up with scammer handles is unrealistic.

TexAgs Ticket Exchange is for legitimate subscribers so you should be able to respectfully ask for verification! If they are not doing anything wrong then there should not be a problem... here are a few ideas that I have started using:

  • Do not put your contact information on your ad at all
  • Require that you be contacted and exchange info by private message; do not use text
  • Check their profile; if created in the last day or so and no tags, red flag, be suspicious
  • If contacted by text or email by someone without verifiable TexAgs account, I don't respond
  • Require any of the TAGS: AG TAG, 12th Man Donor, Association of Former Students, etc...
  • Once agreed, I do the transaction with the other party on the phone, NOT TEXT
Try one or all of these or I am sure you can come up with what you are comfortable with.

Stay diligent!

Do we have a way to catalog numbers buying tickets? I offered to sell tickets and got a text. I asked for them to post on TexAgs and nothing. I think it makes sense to put the numbers in a stickied thread to help other sellers from being cheated.

Just a thought.

My account of our interaction that I posted previously is completely correct. I did not mistype anything, you made that up if you are the person who texted me from number 940-282-9170. I have the entire text thread. I can post it.

I did not bother to "look you up" on the association site because that proves nothing. So, there was no typing error.

And you refused to post in my ticket selling thread, as I requested and as is standard practice since you "lurk, but don't post". But now suddenly you are posting. how did that happen?

I did not sell to you because you had no credentials that I could turn to your number.
And now that I know your profile, which you declined to tell me previously, that is still the case. Which is exactly what I told you when you texted me. Plain and simple.

Then you accused me of not being a former student. Rich since I have an Ag tag, a full profile and long history of buying and selling tickets here including both football in the past and currently basketball season tickets.

As I said, we all must beware of unknown people who request screenshots and refuse to use the easy tools we have here to identify ourselves. You said you had season tickets for years to multiple sports. If somehow you were not aware of this and did not learn it from our interaction then I have probably done you a great service by going over it again here.

I appreciate there can be confusion but I am not sure why my post was pulled. it was completely accurate. See my response to the person who says they interacted with me. I have the complete text thread

There was no confusion or mistyping involved. The person persisted in trying to get me to screenshot tickets while pretending to be unable or unwilling to post here, but now has done so.

Again I appreciate the issue and would not have said what I did if not completely true.

People who are legit usually prove it using the tools we all have here. When people do not do so there is usually a reason.

Also what is the process of checking in with you regarding a text inquiry?

Thank you. I was not sure if there is another way to contact staff so posting here.

I got scammed this evening by someone who found my phone number based on a post that I made four years ago. They texted me, and I was an idiot and didn't verify how they got my phone number. Watch out for anyone texting you without previous conversations. The email and phone number they used are below:
