I have said from the beginning that everyone needs to shut up and as long as the authorities are investigating, let the system run its course.

I really have no idea what happened, but the last thing I'm going to do is put blind faith in the "authorities," it is good that they are being scrutinized.

It doesn't matter how tall Trayvon is . He should of never been followed by a creeper like Zimmerman. I am pretty sure Trayvon used some violence to fight off a guy that was pursuing him and when Zimmerman was getting his ass beat, he decided to be a coward and shot the kid.

Yeah, but one side has 911 recording telling Zimm not to pursue and the other is trying to argue that a ten day suspension for mj residue is grounds for killing someone.

He was never told not to pursue. No one is arguing that a suspension is grounds for killing. Your comments are beyond ignorant and dangerously irresponsible.

This is one of the things wrong with the case, a few people here a few things, and then make up some BS to fit their desired outcome and then repeat it over and over again until it becomes "real" to them.

Let the investigation take its proper course, if the guy is guilty then he goes to prison for a long time. If he's found innocent, or not even charged let him deal with taking someone else's life for the rest of his.

Sharpton, Jackson, Obama, the media, and the usual suspects here and elsewhere are making things worse.

God forbid the black panthers get ahold of Zimmerman and follow through.

you realize that a moderately talented attorney could completely cast doubt on the intent of the dispatcher statement. That statement is ambiguous at best.

You cannot possibly claim to know somone's motivations by taking as gospel the narrative put forward by the Jackson/Sharpton crowd.

If there is evidence that 1)Zimmerman was attacked and indeed shot in self-defense and 2)That Martin may have had a history of delinquency, then it's NOT "murder" as you claim it.

You're just stringing him up without knowing the full story. I'm not exonerating him of anything. But to claim that anyone defending him is a bigot/racist/homophobe/cracker is a huge statement of personal ignorance.

It is also not unlawful to disobey the request of a 911 operator. They have no true authority to tell you how to behave.

nor are they an eyewitness to what is going on at the scene of the accident so cannot make such judgments or statements aside from indemnifying the dispatch service from liability.

How is that so difficult for so many to grasp? Yet we read here and elsewhere that he was told not to follow by the 911 operator which is flat out not true.

Even if it were true, is it a violation of the law to ignore a 911 operator? They aren't law enforcement operators.

If Zimmerman is guilty he's guilty, stuff like this just clouds the discourse.

"We don't need you to do that" is a far cry from even a request not to follow.

It's not even a suggestion against following him. I don't understand how such a statement can get so twisted by the talking heads.

I agree. My opinion based on what I know...

• Treyvon walking around a gated neighborhood that has recently suffered burglaries and a shooting in a hooded sweatshirt.
  
  
• Zimmerman spots suspicious character while on watch and calls cops, says he will follow because they always get away.
  
  
• Confronts Treyvon and tries to restrain him until authorities arrive.
  
  
• Zimmerman initiates physical contact, he is heard running on the 911 tape, Zimmerman tackles Treyvon.
  
  
• Treyvon fights back and starts to gain the upper hand, Zimmerman begins calling for assistance, "Help, Help."
  
  
• Zimmerman manages to reach his gun and shoots Treyvon.
