"thirdcoast" is still posting today

"third coast.." account looks deleted... went to a thread I knew they were both referenced on (Cargo ship blocking Suez thread). All of the third coast.. posts were removed.

He has already moved on. In fact, I'm fairly certain I spotted him yesterday hiking in my neighborhood. He has grown a full on mountain man beard, and probably gained 30 lbs to try and disguise himself, but he couldn't fool my wife and me. The backpack was the give away. The kicker was that he got super pissed when my told him that we don't like his murderous kind in our neighborhood. Once he started arguing, we knew it was him.

I agree. This phenomenon is so common in domestic abuse situations that there is a term for it: reactive abuse. This was my first thought when I saw that the 911 call that precipitated them being pulled over reported that he hit her and not the other way around.

I wish the Moab police had been more thorough instead of just trying to smooth it over because he seemed like a nice dude and she seemed agitated. I can't imagine how devastated her parents must be that no one intervened.
Happened to a relative of mine. Married a manipulative, abusive person who knew how to push her buttons. A downright sociopath. He would provoke her, police would be called, and they would show up to find him with a minor injury. Guess who went to jail?

They found her, confirmed it was her, and ruled it a homicide (I haven't heard anything about method). Still looking for him.
