Though a remember a murder suspect several years back that fled to Mexico and basically hid for several weeks (I think) in the fields of some far-flung avocado farm surviving on avocados).

His only avenue out of the country at this point would be discretely. Either

(1) go over the border on foot.
(2) by boat to...somewhere...but that is difficult to say the least. Even the relatively short crossing from Miami to Bimini takes massive planning. Suppose he could have picked up some sort of rig from south Texas and got dropped off on the beach somewhere in Tamaulipas.
(3) bush pilot. Pay someone with a private plane to go over a remote part of the border by taking off and landing in areas that work as runways but aren't official airports and without filing any flight plan.

From there, who knows but if he doesn't have a lot of cash, he isn't going very far.

So this far into the search, my money is on "dead."

I don't think anyone in Florida that is not related to him has a verified sighting of him since Sept 6th or 7th. Gabby wasn't even declared missing until the 11th. His parents said they had him on the 14th, then changed it to the 13th, but didn't report him missing until the 17th.

He was probably out of the country before Gabby was reported missing. Why would he just **** around his parents house until the police realized he killed her in a month or so?

How do we know he doesn't have a third cousin in a trailer park in the Florida panhandle that he's living with right now? based on my time spent in Florida, he looks like about 100,000 other young scrawny white guys milling around there

If that is the case, up the reward to one million. People will turn on him quickly if someone is hiding him.

I highly doubt this guy has the survival skills to hide out for over a month in the wilderness, be it in that Florida swamp or someplace else.

As far as fleeing the country, I also doubt the had the time or savvy to flee completely undetected. I haven't paid much attention to his family, but would they have the financial means to support him in that? Again I would think no.

I think he managed to kill himself somewhere where the authorities can't find his body.

He had several weeks from the time she reportedly died until the time she was reported missing. Tampa to Matamoros is 20hrs non-stop by car and anyone can walk/drive across the border with no issue. He had plenty of time before anyone cared who he was or where he was at and once in Mexico the heat on him would be much less. Much easier to hide out in remote areas and small towns where his limited funds would go much further and if he could obtain a fake passport getting on a boat to Indonesia (or some other non-extradition country) would have been significantly easier down there. He supposedly withdrew $1000 with Gabby's debit card post death and who knows what other cash/supplies could have been in the van. That on top of whatever his parents could have given him would atleast buy him a few months living out of a vehicle in Mexico.

Strangulation is truly the most personal and intimate way of killing someone. Slow and cruel, he probably looked her in the eyes as he killed her.

My God I hope they find that evil scum.

I don't think he has the cajones to kill himself. And, if he did, I think the parents would know.

What would be their motive to keep it under wraps?

It seems like if his parents know he killed himself, they would just say so in order to alleviate the scrutiny and move on with their lives. If they truly don't know where he is, you'd think they'd be using every outlet available to appeal to the public/him directly to help find him/turn himself in. If they helped him flee then they almost certainly knew why he needed to flee. How on earth did that conversation go? "Hey mom and dad, I killed Gabby and need your help to get away with it." And then they just went along with it? It's so strange.

One of Gabby's friends claims BL once survived for weeks/months in the Appalachians. There weren't any details provided about what exactly that meant, what supplies he had initially, etc., but she was trying to communicate that he could likely survive in the wild for an extended period of time.

I've talked to people who have hiked the Appalachian Trail before. It's not easy, you have to hike a good distance everyday to make it the whole way, but there are a lot of places along the way where you can replenish your supplies. You're not stuck in the wilderness cut off from civilization.

Remains were above ground and covered by a blanket.

No signs of a struggle near the body.

One expert described it like this. If he did have experience hiking the AT, he was a backpacker and not a survivalist. He said a backpacker could probably carry 30 days of supplies.

Guys smart if he aint dead. They traveled all the country to remote places, plenty of people that have done bad stuff to turn up years after living seemingly normal lives.

I guarantee you there are people that still dont think he did it. Everything i have seen or heard in following that guys live streams has moved me closer to 100%. Before the coroner i was at 99%, so maybe i should have gone 99.9%? I just cant say i know for sure until i actually do.
That's the thing about America, we wont know for sure until he goes to trial. Even if we can be realistically and statistically sure. What i fear is that he is already dead or doesnt know what happened to her. That would bring up a whole slew of other questions, or dust them off at least.


And the main point of my post that you could have chosen to highlight was to check out ickedmel as he does a comprehensive exploration of all missing persons that he hears about and has been for several years now. I now have a trusted way to keep up with missing persons and their families. And like i said he covers it all. He was on top of the miya marcano disappearance and the little 3 y.o. that was found in the woods.

I think he probably did, it but haven't seen any direct evidence that he did it. I wouldn't vote to send the mfer to prison based on what Ive seen right now.

Data from both their mobile carrier may tell the story.
