Many, if not most, of you here are old enough to remember this but in the 80's there was clothing that would change color based on your body heat.

So you put a hypercolor shirt on, your armpit area would glow. On females, the boob area would light up.

If I put on hypercolor pants, of course the crotch color really popped.

Pretty funny how it swept through our high school at the time and how it basically went away if you washed the clothes more than twice.

The first kid in my school got one and all day the girls were coming up to him and touching him to make his shirt change color. Well, I saw that and decided I had to have one too. Went home, told my mom and she said no way in hell was she buying me a $30 Tshirt.

I begged for one and got it as a birthday or Christmas gift. It rocked!!!

And then your mom would wash it in hot water and throw it in the dryer and pretty much kill the hypercolor effect.

Boy do I have some great news for you.

You can buy a GECKO brand hypercolor shirt right now! (they call it hyperflash)

These were very early 90's, not 80's. Like 1990 or '91. I was a junior in high school and was the first kid in school to get one so I remember it pretty well. They were pretty sweet. Along with my sweet jacket made out of Tyvek that was a world map.

Born 03/1980

I remember some similar stuff but I dont think it was this exactly. I remember images and writing on shirts that were glow in the dark. A lot of stuff back then was going, color-shifting, based on temperature. Cups, plastic spoons, toys etc

I had one of those (long sleeve) but no girls touched me. I spent most of the school day with my mouth on my forearm making it change back and forth.

Now I see why the girls didn't touch me.
