Giving mine to my future grandkids

Cremation for me. No creepy chemical filled mannequin slowly rotting, thanks. Dilemma averted. Family keeps my ring.
Same here, fellow Trucker. Cremation for me, so the kids will get my ring and my dad's ring.Trucker 96 said:

Not sure, but I think cremation is no clothes, no jewelry in any case. We haven't met with our funeral guy yet so I'm not exactly sure.Quote:
To those who support burying with jewelry, would they feel the same if the person who passed had opted for cremation?

Hell NO!!!! What good does it do one who is buried?! Pass it down!aggiejim70 said:
I have a lot of Aggies in my family and Aggie in-laws. We have a situation where we've just agreed to disagree.
Should one be buried with their ring? My class of 1950 dad's ring went to my class of '18 son with the idea it would be passed down to Aggies in the next generation. My wife at the time's family insisted on burying my class of '72 brother-in-law with his ring. I had no say in that. I want my ring to go to one my (hopefully) class of '33, 35 or '36 grandchildren. Thoughts?

I know who you are.
That's the main reason not to bury valuables with the body.TX_COWDOC said:
Put it on their finger for the service. Then remove it before the undertaker's crew steals it. Pass it down. I have my grandfather's ring and wear it on occasion. There's a zip in my son's outfit who wears his great grandfather's ring. Old army flat crest. It's red ass.

What if the person requested that they be buried with the ring? Just tell them HELL NO and ignore their wishes?
