Lost another friend to their demons over the weekend and can't stop thinking about it. One would think you perhaps could get used to such things over the years but I guess not.

Oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast.

Tap water tastes like dirt. I filter at home by suffer at the gym.

Starting to actually feel like spring in the mornings now! Best season, hands down.

Still getting over URI, so coughing to clear bronchial tubes is probably a good thing.

Two early meetings today. Both were very good.

Lab work for appointment on Friday. Needle stick was pretty smooth.

When I went to pick up breakfast there was a nice moment. This tiny little black boy saw me and let go of his mother's hand and ran straight to me and wanted me to pick him up!

I picked him up and held him while she ordered. He was maybe 18 months old, if that. I'm white, so I don't think he confused me for a relative or something.

He was so cute. Everybody in the restaurant laughed. It was a nice moment.

Good weather today. Need to get outside!

I need to practice guitar because I'm way behind my goals but I also want to see the new Marvel movie before my doctor appointment Friday, and I also want to see the Led Zeppelin movie before it leaves the theater.

Nit enough hours in the day for all that.

Praying the surgery goes well! I would be pissed I missed mango too.

We are paying a lot of money for my daughter to learn guitar because she just had to...now I can't get her to practice at all. I think this is going to be her last month.

I lulled myself into thinking my group of guys were more "safe" as time went on. We went through our flurry of losses after returning home and for some years afterwards but it did seem to slow down a lot as of late. Most have careers and families now and could be considered "settled down" which helped a lot I think. So always a punch to the gut to get word these days. Guard was always up in the past, waiting for that call/text. Now that guard is down and it is even more painful to see somehow. As crass as that may sound.

Tried to put a chipper thumbs up earlier to not darken the thread though. Cancer, inner demons, and whatever Tanya is going through can all promptly **** off though for real.

So instead of not paying money for guitar lessons, now I have to pay to take her to a concert?!

Actually, I'm taking her to one in October but I seriously doubt it will be a "guitar heavy" show.

We pay $$$ for our kids to experience different sports and musical instruments that they want to try. Most of the time it doesn't work out but at least we gave them the chance.

Whole wheat with gut macerating seeds, toasted, mayo, romaine lettuce with Campari tomatoes. Olive oil mayo.

Seeds belong in soil.
