2007. 1896 sq ft $119K. $300k now.

$74,000 for a new build in 1994 in Rowlett, TX. It was 1,300 sq ft. Back then felt plenty spacious. In 1997 sold it and made a small profit & moved into a 2100 sq ft (new build) house in Rockwall - only $121k. We were rolling.

1st.... 1530sq 3/2 new construction starter home in Anna, TX in 2006. $115k. Loved that little house. 24 years old at the time. Wish I could have kept it as a rental.

2nd (current): 2700sq 4/2.5 in Fort Worth in 2012. Paid 150k though I believe they were asking 175k. Feel like we got a steal on it as the couple had already moved to Virginia and I guess were just wanting it sold. House is currently worth about 350k and we enclosed the game room upstairs to officially make it 5 bedrooms.

That house in little ol' Anna has sold twice since then, with the last meeting for 330k. Just insane. I went up there a few months ago and stopped to go drive by the house with my wife. We couldn't believe how much Anna has exploded in growth.

1999. $189,000. Worth close to $450k.

1st House - 1979 Brand spanking new 54' mobile home. Paid $10,500. Lived in a trailer park outside Wellborn

1st House (without wheels) - 1981 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath condo in College Station $40,000

1st House (not attached to other houses) 1983 1750 sq ft in Richmond, TX $79,000

Bought in 1997, built in 1977, 3/2 wood frame, 1180 sqft, $76,900, 7% interest rate, zero down payment VA loan.

I'm on my second VA loan also.

Married in '84. Bought our 1st home in '86 for $66K off Deacon Dr in CS. We met the builder on another site & he allowed us to customize a bit. Nice starter home. 3 bed/3 bath. Almost 2000 square feet.
Just looked and it's currently appraised for $313K!
